Tyrande Whisperwind is just an Alliance version of Sylvanas

About four years ago, I posted a lengthy explanation on here about how Tyrande Whisperwind’s blatant racism and head strong blind range essentially put her at the danger equivalent of Sylvanas.
I got A LOT of flak from the Alliance diehards here and also some incredible Alliance support.
With all we have seen to far, does anyone care to still try and prove me wrong? She is clearly lost down a path that centers around herself and her vengeance (wow does that sound familiar?) she also holds immense ethereal power (wow does that sound familiar?) and has made bargains for power that come at great spiritual costs (wow does that sound familiar?).
But of course, since she is part of the “good guy” faction nothing will probably ever come of this, you can’t be self righteous when you’re part of the Alliance huh? I’ll save Uther for another post

Hey I called this stuff four years ago, I just want to see what people think as it finally unravels.

You didn’t even make a good case. All you did was go “HAH! CALLED IT!” and then didn’t even clarify what it is you called. Then you made a weird post about Uther, which I can only assume you mean the Forsworn bit. Every eight seconds on this forum, there’s a “TYRANDE SHOULD HAVE RUN OVER THE HORDE WITH HER SEMI” or a “TYRANDE SHOULD GET RUN OVER WITH A SEMI” post, and your’s does not contribute anything new save for some poorly constructed and vague misgivings.

Listen man. BFA is over. Nobody gives a crap about the “Blue Good, Red Bad” superiority session anymore. You’re just screeching into a void, and you’re not even doing it coherently.

Maybe read my post before you comment? Your comprehension skills seem to be lacking massively. Who hurt you?

I read your post twice, and it came off to me as you crying over getting dunked on in a previous post, and I don’t really see anything that tells me you didn’t deserve it.

Comparing someone hellbent on vengeance for her people and someone who has decided to unmake the universe because it is just so unfair does not seem a very good comparison. They are pretty obviously building up to ultimately tear that power from Tyrande in the Nightfae campaign, anyways.

This thread though… I feel like I should go get popcorn.

It’s always the male blood elves.

I had to check and make sure it wasn’t Rivendel.

Yes, keep perpetuating this racist attitude.

Per my profile pic, I am in fact a sentient sword blade and thus cannot be racist.

I don’t like either character, but I feel this is one of those attempts to read closely into a narrative that is written too inconsistently to even be able to rely upon a writer’s unconscious use of coding and tropes.

I stay at a meta level when consuming and discussing WoW because it just does not bear close inspection very well.

Bro, you do know you’re not a Blood Elf IRL, right?

Very good point Kaileath, here is a follow up question: At what point was there a tipping on Sylvanas where she is considered to unmake the world to achieve her goal? What says Tyrande’s path isn’t a slippery slope to the same?

I think it was largely the part where Sylvanas said her goal was to unmake the world. If you have a clip of Tyrande saying that, feel free to show the class.

She wants to unmake the world with the goal of complete freedom (which is really complete chaos, kind of a Thanos thing going on here but even more misguided), I’m not defending it but her goal isn’t to unmake the world. That’s just the last step to achieve the final goal.

That’s not what I asked. Show me where Tyrande shows that she likewise wants to unmake the world.

if we follow the logic they are presenting it is when she was convinced by Zovval that she was unjustly sent to the maw (when it seems she was never judged by the Arbiter at all), and how this somehow feeds into how the entire multiverse was engineered into some ultimate cosmic plan by its creator in which everyone is just a cog.

It has always been sort of the paradox to Sylvanas’ argument. If she has no free will then fighting for free will is impossible. If she has free will then she is actually just trying to destroy the cosmos because she is basically throwing a temper tantrum that life is not fair.

Please re-read, your compression issues are showing again. You responded with an irrelevant point, I said what says that Tyrande’s path isn’t a slippery slope, not that she is already on that path.

We can probably stop replying to this thread, to be honest. Guy has under ten posts on that character and clearly has no sense of debate beyond ‘no u’, nor is he objective.
