That Anduin let Saurfang go. She doesn’t know that he encouraged it and practically guided him out of stormwind and it’s holdings.
Think about what will happen when she finds out? What little respect she has for him will evaporate. She’ll take her people and leave the alliance, going who knows where to do who knows what.
Genn may also leave his side - but that’s more of a maybe. Genn’s gotten pretty close to Anduin and may trust him, but there’s also the chance that his temper will get the better of him. And…right now that’s really all the alliance leaders. The dwarves never get a spotlight (too hard to write I imagine) so the Alliance will be down a third in overall leadership…that won’t be good.

I hope Saurfang kills at least Tyrande or Malfurion by the end of this… a way to redeem himself in the eyes of those that think he turned traitor.

I still love him.

Could be the other way around. With the way the elves are now…a lone orc wouldn’t be able to do much. He nearly died twice at the hands of both Tyrande and Malfurion before they received elunes blessing…now that power gap may be too big.

Ah, but he had the fortitude of two val’kyr healing is wounds and binding his soul to his body. I imagine that without that, he’d be little more than plant food.

This would be amazing, and finally make the Alliance less boring and one dimensional.

I can see it now.

She finds out he let Saurfang, who led the attack on Teldrassil, go… and in a Void induced rage (with her “Night Warrior” aspect having some fairly clear indications of being a Void powered part of Elune’s power… she kills Anduin as a traitor, not seeing it as a ploy to use Saurfang to destabilize the Horde, and seizes the High Queen mantle of the Alliance.

This would be so awesome.

We could finally get some meaningful choices of who to align with on the Alliance.

Any more then the Deus Ex Machina powerup Tyrande got?

It appears nowhere in any previously established lore. All but 2 named NPC’s (Tyrande and Miev) have never heard about it. It has Deity level of strength that was responsible for the conquest of Kalimdor. And yet… it was never considered when the demons invaded and the world was split. It was never considered during the Night Elf and Qirag wars. It was never considered during the third war when Archemond walked the planet and nearly destroyed the world tree. It was never considered when Deathwing rose and plunged the world into Cataclysm. It was never considered when the Legion invaded and killed the Varion and had all nations at their knees. Nope, but some emo goth warchief burns a tree? That is too much!

And I agree that Anduin shouldn’t be high king, but there’s no reason to kill him off.

And I’d rather see Muradin lead the Alliance than Tyrande.
