So with Azshara on the the way and Night Elves being savage again in the Darkshore Warfront. I'm worried they will just dump the Night Elves off and not even think to mention them or there leaders in 8.2 or the rest of the xpac. Azshara's lore is so intertwined with Night elf lore...and well ALL elven lore it would be another middle finger to the NEs if tyrande and malfurion arent involved at all....
Not allowing Malfurion, Tyrande, and the Kaldorei to gain revenge for the Sundering would be a crime. Hell, the Nightborne deserve to take her down with them.
Just wish Illidan was here too.

it seems like blizzard has more plans for the nelfs and tyrande.
:
"Definitely. This is an opportunity to dive deep into Night Elf culture and their champions. As seen in the Terror of Darkshore cinematic, they are feared by the Horde for a reason. They are in touch with nature—but don’t mess with them if you mess with their people or their homes. Exciting to see Tyrande move into a new chapter of her story as she moves into a new role as a Night Warrior. We’re building foundations for future stories."

they didn't say anything about nelfs being revelant in 8.2
all what they said is that the story will continue for the 4 protagonists.
but i don't know if nelfs are going to have a major role there.

Night elves should definitely be the focus Alliance side. Nightborne and blood elves(mostly nightborne) Horde side.
You can't do an Azshara without involving those most connected to her. It would be like doing Argus without draenei or Arthas without undead and blood elves... Ok, the second one wasn't a good example.

That a pretty legitimate fear to have since it's almost certain that's what they're going to do.

Loooooool
what happened back there Lena, forgot the whole of WotLK narrative? Cause factually speaking, Arthas was "done" without Belves and the Undead only managed Dungeon cameo.
Idk, they were stupid enough to bring Illidan back in Legion and not even once have him bump into Malf or Tyrande, both of whom were on the Broken Isles. Aside from some mediocre letter-crystals at the very end of the expansion. Even though around 3/5 of the Broken isles were almost entirely Night elf based.11/03/2018 09:25 PMPosted by LenaNight elves should definitely be the focus Alliance side. It will certainly be disappointing if that's the case. Sadly, over all, Azshara feels like she's being wasted. We'll see if they can turn that around when we actually get to 8.2, I suppose.
I'm sure one of them will be there like Velen was so we can call the entirety of the raid "Alliance content."
but if we are going to nazjatar in 8.2 could tyrande and malfurion afford to go there and focusing on kalimdor at the same time?
my bet is that we aren't actually killing azshara in 8.2.
maybe we can see more of nelfs involved with her in the future.

With the Night Elven plotline so hyper focused on vengeance against the Forsaken I wouldn't get my hopes up too much for them to take a side trip to Nazjatar.
More likely going to be dealing primarily with races we find at the sunken city like Naga and Giblins than having it be heavily focused or themed around existing races.

I’d loooove to see Prince Farondis make a return in 8.2.

I wouldn't say no to that precious cinnamon roll.
They should also include Jarod in there. What is he even doing these days, hiding from people that are mad at him from the Mage Tower?

Jarod's in the Alliance side of the Darkshore Warfront.

It'll be great raiding with Malf again. Think he'll still be mad about the whole genocide thing?

You know, he ultimately forgave the Highborne after their whole genocide thing against the lowborn Night Elves, so, since history repeats itself so much in Warcraft, probably forgive Horde players, too.

/cry.

To be fair, the Highborne Malf forgave were the Shen'dralar, who were not a part of Azshara's faction of traitor highborne, and even fought against the demons.

You'd think that. But the Orcs got left out entirely from the whole "defeat the Legion once and for all" thing. And the devs actually like the Orcs. So I don't hold out much hope for a Night Elven presence in Nazjatar.
We may get Malfurion's help to examine the corpses of AU Mag'har...
The analysis may give interesting information considering what Alex Afrasiabi revealed about Thros the Blighted Lands and how the Devs don't want to complicate things by creating multiple realms...
Soon Malfurion will realize exactly why Archimonde had a chunk of the Nightmare on him in AU Draenor! Of course it may also inspire Alleria to dive into the Nightmare to grab recruits from it's poor victims that the Nightmare constructed from people's minds.
