I think they’re different circumstances.
The Fel Drake is a niche mount. Even when it was unobtainable, nobody really wanted it. It was like an in-game time capsule to the “good ol’ days”. Those who did have it, either paid a lot, or got super lucky. The value of the mount was destroyed.
Tyraels Charger was a promo mount. Being a store mount is frankly the same thing. It’s simply obtainable again. The value of the mount is the same. It’s an IRL cash mount.

Meh I have had the Tyrael’s Charger mount for awhile now and I don’t mind if other people have the option to get it now.
It’s a great mount for Paladins and Priests.

But when you saw the Fel Drake, you didn’t immediately think “Store Mount”.
That is at least how I have always viewed the Charger. The Fel Drake was values at what, several thousand USD? The Charger like $25…?
To be honest I’d say it’s gone up in value.
That’s that last color I need for the original collection too. It’s been what. 18 years? Almost. Give or take a couple of months.
Also I have an old RAF mount Swift Zhevra. I don’t care if it comes back and honestly I hope it does. One of my favorite old mounts too because of the memories attached to it back when my brother started playing.

I thought the reason we played was that we’re lonely and dumb IRL so we play WOW to prove our intelligence and act like we’re a bunch of politicians, doctors, and scientists.
Uh that might be true for elf players.

Cry a little more, I don’t think those in the back heard you. I got the charger the first time and I say give it to everyone. “Exclusive, limited time only” stuff is stupid. Content added to the game should never be removed permanently.

Tbh I’ve had it and I was in like 6th grade at the time it originally was out and asked my dad to get it for me LOL

Boy I CANNOT WAIT for spectral tiger to become available somehow. It will be Joker levels of crazy in the forums.
Same with the auction house mount.
They likely wont as a 2 class system has been put in place here. The only “unique accounts” will be those who Mythic Raid and PvP professionals. They get to hold onto a sense of exclusivity. Everyone else outside of that Elite camp gets a carbon copy account where it looks no different whether you played 1 year or 20. This is the modern design philosophy, making everyone else equal and whatever, except for the small % of players who go the extra mile playing at maximum difficulty. You don’t get to feel good about what you digitally own unless you’re an elite PvP or PvE’er
