The reason why world content absolutely sucks in this game. Add anything outside instances and people with poor time management skills or compulsion issues moan.

I agree, but explaining economics to people is more difficult that one might anticipate or expect it to be.
A keynesian system is hard to unwind RL, unwinding it in a game designed for enjoyment will make it harder especially when people continuously expect products to sell for tens of thousands of gold or hundreds.
