Sorry but I’ll never understand this take I see pop around from time to time.
People have their use for gold. Just 'cause you don’t need it for anything doesn’t justify the need to constantly get jipped by Blizzard on the gold reward front. Sure you can make lots in the start of the expansion via gathering specifically but the piddly amount for most things now is blatantly done to push people to use RL money instead of Gold for Token.
That in turn makes an already lame piece of content, even worse because they are purposefully dulling down rewards.
It was so expensive to raid in Dragonflight that I sometimes didn’t get to. I have a life and can’t dedicate hours per week to farm gold. The deflation in TWW is very welcome; it will drag prices down.
I’m…honestly surprised so many people saying this when TWW isn’t even more than two weeks old yet…at least let season one fire up before saying which was worse as it’s like people are buying a game, opening it, then returning it saying it was awful. I mean really crazy having seen a thread demanding a refund for TWW… people trying too hard to troll it seems
It’s by design that there are no valid farm methods in WoW. It pushes people to buy WoW tokens to afford anything. More money in Activisions pockets.
The last decent old fashioned kill farm was Titan orbs but Blizzard couldn’t allow a valid gold farm from killing mobs so massively buffed the drop rate. I made over 1.5 million farming them before the change at least.

The point was there aren’t any gold sinks right now. So any gold you make (unless you are dumping it for professions or tokens) is surplus currently.
No idea what you are talking about since we just came from one of the most gold rich expacs to date. They were literally giving it away between wq rewards, spamming dungeons, etc.
So week 1 of an expac and people are complaining about not being able to farm thousands and thousands of gold from wq and such… it just makes me roll my eyes.
If you are THAT down bad, mining/herbing are insane right now. And I said that at some point in the thread.
100k is definitely farfetched. But I was doing around 20k an hour just hitting nodes to and from quests. 45k when I did some lazy laps around the map.
That was just from mining. Can’t imagine dual harvesters.
Don’t over exaggerate. I was speaking of rewards now, not in DF and spamming dragon races on many alts is a degen way of making gold. Professions were a select few that made gold akin to BFA, Legion etc… it was far from ‘‘one of the most gold rich expacs to date’’.

And I said that in my reply to you, so I’m aware of gold making and how this works;
The way I look at it is how much effort it takes to participate in the basic functions of the game.
For example, a full mog costs around 600g. We used to be able to say 1 dragon race would pay for that. So it was around 1 minute plus travel time to mog…but now that has been changed to at least 4-5 minutes, but probably closer to 10 with travel time. Is it a good/fun use of player time to require that much effort? I would say no.
Similarly, for equipment repairs. How much time must be spent doing WQs or gathering now just to be able to repair your gear so you can keep playing? Again, in DF 1 race pretty much paid for a full repair. Now it won’t, and since the ilvls are increasing, it’ll probably get more expensive.

They have a right to? Same way how people are praising it as some best expansion since sliced bread when it’s only been a week.
Again, bad faith is bad faith, I pointed out your bias to gold making and how you ask someone why they need that much gold and I mentioned what a silly take that is.

Most people will let their sub lapse, it happens every launch except the first three expaxs. There will be a crazy drop off in a month.

They didn’t nerf the experience it takes to level, just the ilvl scaling.
You may be better off playing Overwatch or HS, as an MMO is not really the game you like to play.
MMO´s are games where you interact with the world and other players, where you develop your professions, your char and explore the story.
