Fortified
Challenger’s Peril
Tyrannical
Xal’atath’s Guile replaces the weekly Xal’atath’s Bargain
affix.
So the answer is: yes
Unless that was a typo, which is more likely
It’s not a typo, the blue post specifically delineates that one will always appear at +4, and the one that isn’t at +4 will appear at +10 for the given week.
This looks really good tbh.
I’m definitely all for these changes.
Been saying to remove affixes since legion, glad to see them finally doing that.
Interesting. I’ll wait for more info/testing before I get overly excited but it definitely sounds like a huge improvement over their original idea.
It’ll be interesting to see how the affixes play next season.
I never do much Mythic+, mainly because I just don’t enjoy healing it, but I’ll give it a try in TWW.
I’m glad they’re doing it with the intention of preserving difficulty (to some extent) while also creating a relatively stable difficulty from week to week. Even if the +2 affixes wind up being relatively unbalanced against each other, it still means every other week can be treated as a “push week”.
My initial take is that these are nice changes. I’m digging what I’m seeing here.
I am very curious to see how this plays out.
I don’t hate the idea of the heavier death penalties from +7 and up, since it should alleviate the constant cries of M+ being a cake walk where you could +30 death your way to mythic gear (being facetious here).
I do like the design intent of making things consistent every week instead of having some weeks being super easy compared to others.
Assuming they do some actual work on Hpal this week I may try and give at least the low end mythics a try.
This is probably the only thing I don’t like. I’m going to have to be more cautious <.<
Seems interesting, will see how it plays out.
I’m sure tears will come that higher keys have fort and tyrannical active at the same time (something I’ve suggested many times).
Worst m+ change.
Even worse than their previous m+ affixes.
Aren’t you guys glad that you loudly complained about 5-10% overall buffs on a week in the best case scenario and playing a regular game in the worst case scenario to now have 11s be the end point of pugging?
Pugs are not going to be capable of clearing 12s as the changes are set. Before(or after?) Keystone level is applied, bosses will have +35% Damage and +60% HP. Non-bosses will have +40% HP and +50% Damage
One group wipe is -75 seconds. Once you figure in travel times, one wipe is realistically a brick and the end of the key
Edit: could be wrong on Fort/Tyr interaction with Guile. I don’t know if these are multiplicative values or duplicative
Very few people are pugging keys that high, and if they are currently pugging really high keys, they probably still will be able to with a good pug.
So keys that are 4 levels above the max for power rewards may possibly have a challenge in them?
Why? And how would you do it differently?
Literally, EVERY ITERATION will be better than unchanging keys for every single week higher than +12.
Variety is good.
A lot of people who actually push those types of keys were asking for no rotation.
