I wanted to give my feedback regarding the TWW questing experience since it does things differently compared to previous expansions. When I had heard the main story quests were shorter this time around I was hesitant but I think that was a good decision as it really let side quests shine for leveling.
The main story quests felt a bit fast paced and I wish they were just a little longer but I enjoyed them. I liked how particular zone transitions felt natural. From Isle of Dorn to Ringing Deeps felt like a natural follow up in the story. Then the transition from Hallowfall to Azj-Kahet I think has been the best zone transition in questing yet I almost didn’t realize the next zone had begun was how seamless it felt! I also liked that new characters were added like Dagran that felt like good additions.
The side quests this expansion felt a lot more enjoyable than previous expansions. It felt like there was more dialogue and more of a story that helps it feel more like an RPG. Some of the quest chains were even emotional and I still think back on them a week later where normally I wouldn’t give it a second thought. In the past most side-quests just felt like they were sources of reputation but the ones this expansion I had fun with.
I am hoping this continues for all future expansions. This has been my favorite expansion launch so far for questing experience. If this happens with Midnight and Last Titan I’ll be a happy camper especially with the history of those places and personal sentiment.
