TWW Profession Catch-up Is A+++

I rerolled to my warlock a week and a half after EA launch and I noticed that after I finished getting the rose petals for the week, the game started giving me catch-up items from herbs until I catch up to where everyone else is at. Kudos to the devs.

Maybe for gathering.

However for Blakcsmithing I haven’t been able to complete or wasn’t willing to pay 40K + for the 2 KP.

I did not get double the KP Patron Orders this week. So I’d say the system is hit and miss, if it’s even been implemented across all professions.

I wonder if there is any catch up system at all. Started a new profession on my alt and don’t see any extra kp…

I think the patron work orders give extra KP if you’re behind…… but depending on the profession it’s expensive to be able to fulfill those

Try being an enchanter. They don’t even get patron orders. Well, they do, but you get 3 choices, and they are always something you do not even know. Pretty sure no one here is putting points into the glamor junk this early in the game lol. My enchanter hasn’t gotten any specialization points outside the 1 weekly quest you get. :frowning:

The glamours are a slight positive KP wise. What you spend on that tree you earn back with first crafts, plus like 3 extr points

But it does cost gold

Maybe, but I do know blacksmithing you get several orders during the week that only cost you 1-2 core alloy, and a few ores to make usually profession tools, or blue weapons / armor. My smith has a ton of points compared to my poor chanter.

The weekly quest requires 2 null orbs which are pretty expensive. I’ll just skip it. I don’t understand why we have to destroy high value items for a few points and then also still need a ton of those high value items to craft.

Yup, same for my tailor sometimes they get points for something that only takes 1 bolt so like a few gold.

Meanwhile my engineer get words for chaos circuits I’m not spending thousands!

I also noticed that I get much more profession knowledge from disenchanting and mining. I’m making much more profession progress just casually gaming compared to DF.

You get your KP from disenchinting items. My enchanter has 175 KP vs my BS 170.

Seems like a waste of money to disenchant, materials are a lot cheaper. Unless you know of a dirt cheap item to make to DE I guess.

You get back more in mats than you do from vendoring.

Yeah, I picked up blacksmithing over the weekend and 4 of the patron orders I had initially were all spread across getting deep into armorsmithing and weaponsmithing. So all very unrealistic. Then on refresh I got a patron order for a pvp gear piece, so that would require me to dump 7.5k honor.

I know they said they made changes to the patron order system, but I still frequently see patron orders requiring expensive/hard to obtain recipes and a lot supplying little to no reagents. But, on the flip side, I have also seen a few where they supplied all the reagents.

ā€œWould you like to finish this crafting order for 5 acuity?ā€ look at mats, over 25k, and requires weapon/armor specialization. Nah, not today friend.

Bro you get knowledge points from disenchanting items

9, a week that is it.

Other professions are getting a lot more through the patron thing.

Been making a hundred or so cloth gloves at a time, disenchanting them, and averaging about 30-40% Q3 shards thanks to designated disenchanting. Also proccing double shards from them so for 100 pairs of gloves I’m getting 120-140 shards, 30-40 of which are Q3.

Q1 and Q2 shards sell for 150g while Q3 sells for 350-400g. So even if I was buying my weavercloth I’d likely be turning a profit overall.

Good to know, never bothered looking at the breakdown for it. Started making the blue 80 stuff on my tailor to DE during the week.

Yeah I’m glad I had the option of just going the disenchanting route since my wife has an enchanter as well. Unfortunately it means I’m spending a lot of time disenchanting the 200 items she leaves in my mail but it’s worth it.
