TWW Pre-Patch Date

When are people thinking it’ll be?

I’m torn between July 23rd & Aug 20th Pre-Patch dates.

Beta just dropped today (June 5th); lengths of prevous beta:

BfA: April 24th - August 14th (2018)
SL: July 15th - Nov 23rd (2020)
DF: April 24th - August 14th (2022)

Every Pre-Patch since BfA has been around 23-28 days in length.

Going by logic, we’re looking at either an August 20th TwW drop date (July 23rd prepatch) or a September 17th TWW drop date (August 20th prepatch).

I’m leaning towards Sept TWW drop & Aug 20th prepatch due to MoP Remix ending on the 19th & classes will be getting reworks/changes in prepatch not to mention blizzard will want people to be able to play pre-patch with their transferred MoP characters; but could be either or.

EDIT: With Aug 26th being TWW, looking at July 23rd/30th prepatch.

Next time you log in, look at the number of days remaining in MoP Remix.

That’s your pre patch date.

Hmm, what makes you so sure?

They could very well continue MoP Remix until day before TwW release.

Experience.

Roadmap timeline, interview snippets on the plan for ReMop alts and season 4 length all put together to hit that date. When the countdown was added, I viewed it as confirmation, since it lines up with the date I calculated.

They also usually give tmog’s for prepatch. And I just know that would cause complaining if remix characters were not able to get those. Though you would think that they would have at least one other character outside remix to grab the tmog with, I’m sure people would still complain.

I think they would give at least a week between the end of Remix and the start of TWW. I think it will likely be more than a week, but at least one week. They don’t want to deal with any issues regarding the character status changing and achievements or other cosmetics with TWW launching the next day. That’s just asking for trouble.

The pre patch may drop while Remix is still going, but from my experience, there will be a one week minimum (probably a couple) between Remix ending and TWW starting.

the overlap of pre-patch and tww would probably be the best way to go to avoid a content drop off for a week or two.

Makes sense to me, although tbh with so many classes getting reworks & changes to their talent trees idk if remix will continue during prepatch (unless they also update MoP remix talent trees when it drops).

That’s a good point, I assumed the Remix characters just wouldn’t be affected by pre patch if it dropped while active, but that might be hard to do depending on how their systems work.

So it might go from Remix quickly into pre patch and start the TWW countdown.

Personally, that’s what I think will happen. Remix will end and prepatch begins, but I guess we’ll see.

Yes I think the week or week after remix finishes.

Call it coping but I don’t think remix will effect the release date for prepatch or TWW. It’s a gut feeling.

I hope the end Remix earlier if that’s what’s holding them back from Pre-patch. No one needs 70 more days of this MoP grindfest that requires a new patch every day to fix something

That would be a week before release. Looking at Blizzard historical release schedule, WWI prepatch will be July 30, release August 27th. I did a stream covering all of the dates, I was right about 10.2.6, season 4, alpha and beta, etc.

I’d put TWW release on or about sept 17 (saturday the 14th for early access) . MoP remix ends Aug 19. 4 week span in between for pre-patch event which is about typical for a pre patch with deviations for legion and cata

This makes the most sense to me as well with TWW prepatch being August 20th.
