Just a question. My wife preordered TWW to jump back in. She’s been doing the pre-event but she has never ordered and played through DF. I’m wondering if this is why that:
She does not have the toggle button on her mount screen.
And DF is missing as a choice from Chromie.
She is willing to wait until TWW launch, but I am wondering if even then if these features will unlock. Or, is she just bugged beyond repair? It’s a new gaming laptop and install.
the toggle for riding is in the mount menu. df wont unlock until tww launches.
Nah it’s missing. She can only do the old school flying. That toggle button which I have in mine so I know what you are referring to, is missing from hers. It looks like it did before they patched that in.

What level is she?

Sorry not sure then. I think you have to be 20 to use steady flight, but that wouldn’t be the issue in her case.
Yeah, currently she has to slow fly from one event node to the next. It’s weird. I just figured it was because she never did DF. And when it was missing from the expansions in Chromie…kinda added them together for this assumption.

oh…you have to do the questline to unlock dragonriding. it only takes about 2 hrs. go through questline part of waking shores up to the hatchery. there should be a dragon there that gives you the series of tutorial quests to do.

Should not. All my old RAF accounts are already upgraded to at least Dragonflight now. Should be in the base game already. Believe she just needs to do the intro and unlock it once, then it is account wide.
If your account already has TWW, then DF should be there.
That must be it then. It sounds like she’s in a weird interim limbo period that they may not have accounted for.
That’s what I thought. My account has it as it should. Hers, since she never played during DF or bought it, doesn’t have the toggle. She can only slow fly. So we’re not sure how to get her started on that Dragonflying quest.
The quest giver that gives the quest line to go to the Dragon Isles for Alliance is in Stormwind Keep.
The one for Horde is near the Cataclysm portals.
She may need to turn on trivial quests under the options list by the HUD or you might not see them.
