Watching some streamers who are top ranked players every season get absolutely dumpstered right now in low keys, a lot of which looks like over design and over tuning. Who are the devs even making this game for anymore? IMO M+ challenge is great, but it should be at higher key levels. It’s infinitely scaling after all, so why force such a wall early on?

I’m just gonna wait till the dust settles. Blizz will probably roll out some nerfs at some point. I don’t even like the colour they’ve used on the s1 mount. Gonna wait for the s2 recolour.

I’m not sure judging an expansion by some streamer beta M+ playing before it’s tuned is the way to go… but you do you.
As long as beta players actually give tuning feedback, we should see changes to that. Things are always like this in beta.

The keys in beta are over tuned. This is the time of M+ testing where the devs can fix a lot of the issues you’re seeing. Personally, I think the large health pools are out of line with healer output.

This is standard and they have said it in the past. They over-tune to start and pair it back, so during beta it is way over-tuned. It will come down by launch, and 2 months later will be even lower.
So if they nerfed everything by 80% it’ll be fine? lol. (Hypothetical.)
Tuning is not going to be the same as live.
Because they think of beta as “getting to play the game early” and not an environment for testing and giving feedback.
Same reason people were surprised there were server issues on the first day of beta.

Yeah I saw the salt every time I logged into the beta. As well as using the Test chat to just spam useless chitchat and trolling.
Every time I’ve tested the game in beta things have been tuned high. I think they do those adjustments later on, closer to release.

Tuning is always among the last focuses within game development, which is entirely intentional for a myriad reasons that should be obvious to anyone not treating an alpha/beta test as a glorified demo.

This expansion is rushed like DF. They haven’t even fixed the bugs reported from DF beta.
I would advise people to wait it out because launch is going to be rough.
