TWW Heroics are NOT a waste of your time, and they are NOT too easy

No offense but typically it’s less experienced players who say grinding heroics is pointless.
Then on the first day on M+ not only can they not handle the M+ mechanics, they also don’t know any of the just baseline dungeon mechanics for the bosses and special trash.

For example I can tell the last boss of Darkflame Cleft with the candle is going to be a massive pain on M+, even if you know how to do it.

You need to do heroics if for any reason you master all the dungeon mechanics in an easier, low stress environment, so when M+ comes you only need to worry about getting used to the M+ mechanics.

If you try to do both at once chances are you’ll end up giving up because M+ is where you NEED to know what you’re doing if you want to go anywhere and not just be rejected from every group because you can’t clear anything and get your score up.

I’ve done heroic ara kara 20 times and the last boss hasn’t even been alive long enough to do mechanics, let alone work out what they mean.

The last boss of Heroic Ara Kara does all of their mechanics within the first 30 seconds.
It’s literally not possible for you to be geared enough at the current moment, even fully upgraded, to kill it in 30 seconds.

Don’t remind me of that dungeon, I got kicked out of that dungeon the other day with a real life threat whisper from one of the people in the party.

Jesus christ man Im genuinely sorry to hear that. Yea that one is going to be a nightmare.

I reported it and and place the person on ignore, so jokes on them if Blizzard takes action on them.

Not just that one, but the city of threads is going to be a bit of a nightmare too.

Oh City of Altars?! I find it to be a bit easier at least theres ghosts to follow!

Yeah, but some people seem to think you run away from them rather than following them.

Ok I was guilty of that at first until I walked past like 3 and saw the directions were facing away looking more like a “foot print” but you know the body. It clicked at that moment and thats how I figured it out.

Granted common sense aint common and most folks have the collective brain cell of an amoeba so I dont see it going well for them.

Considering that M0s are going to be equivalent to a M10 in DF I highly reccommend people run Heroics. I totally agree with OP here.

The trick to the spies in city is they are in locations that are not normally occupied by NPCs.

Heroics are easy, but their definitely not a waste of time.

It’s not too bad, I will just be making certain everyone knows what to do before we pull.

If Im in your group I apologize ahead of time lmao

Eh, you get crests faster flying in circles in the open world zones and you can get 590s from crafting without valorstones. There’s not really that much reason to be doing them unless there’s a specific trinket you want.

The War With Ion expansion pack is the first time I’ve done heroic dungeons since WoD. It is lame, they are a waste of time and something that should not exist in the current iteration of the game.

I’ve done heroics, then stepped into Mythic versions of those dungeons, and it’s like a whole new dungeon. There’s a big gulf between the two.

Come on man you can slobber all over your keyboard half drunk while watching your favorite show and half pay attention in Heroics and still get pretty adventure loot.

Dungeon running gameplay has deteriorated so much. It was never my favorite content but I have had some good times.

The whole focus on speed running, and M+ has turned it into something I only do when I am pushed to do it. Mostly leveling.

I don’t see any of my toons dipping into 5s of any difficulty after I ding 80.
