Neither Alliance nor Horde have done anything much this expansion. Like with Dragonflight and early Pandaria, it’s just heroes and expedition forces so far. The factions and their armies didn’t even arrive until the very end of the current main questline. Now we’ll see how it goes from here on out in future patches.

I was checking stats the other day and I’m pretty sure the alliance needs the horde because the horde is 2/3rds of the player base. Although that might not be right, I’m not sure where clean stats for player pop can even be found

We’ve never needed the horde. The only reason horde exist is because blizzard needs them for their game play since half the player base plays them. They woulda been wiped out long ago if gameplay reasons didn’t dictate

The irony considering the alliance has always been the lower populated faction.
Even with the most broken racials since SL most people stayed horde.

Gameplay reasons still
Alliance op racials in pve and pvp. 
It’s really quite tiresome. At least there’s cross faction for those of us who wanna play the race we like.

If they raided it was because of horse having the better playerbase for raiding.
Not because of racials.

They didnt change for the racials. They changed for established guilds.
The writers know how fragile the alliance population is, and don’t dare write a story where the Alliance arent OP gods of virtue.

Like I’m looking at swapping to Warrior for my main for next tier.
Mechagnome and void elf are the top two races for both arms and fury and it makes me cringe
