Just so everyone is aware, regular flying is gated behind TWW pathfinding. Until that achievement is done, you’re stuck with dragonflying.
Isn’t that just “reach 80 and finish the basic story questline” though?
Not sure to be honest. I haven’t gotten that far into beta yet.
This has been my understanding as well.
Wowhead states this:
That sounds like how it was in Dragonflight, which is fine. Still a lot better than the pathfinder hoops we had to jump through before.
What concerns me, and I admittedly still need to look further into it to confirm, is I believe I heard something about Sky Riding (currently Dragon Riding) being nerfed back down to bare bones and three bubbles of vigor to be built back up as we level up. So that sounds like all the current DR abilities I have will go away and have to be re earned, which sucks. But I still need to fact check that.
If anything, this will make anyone with a disability or doesn’t like skyriding to quit.
So how long is that achievement to do?
Pretty much what they told us. At least the rep is gone Saberons rep nightmares
I mean, if they made it through Dragonflight they can make it through TWW.
i know right ? 200% lazy people
The entire main questline and level 80. So however long it takes you.
Didn’t alot of them come back after regular flying was brought back?
And they’ve been adding more accessibility options as they can for dragonriding.
Do you have a source for this? Because I sure don’t.
No clue. It doesn’t seem like it’ll be that hard to just do the unlocks on foot though. I guess if they want to quit again in the hopes that the requirements will be removed down the line, that’s on them. We’ve known about this for quite a while though.
Yes. Also, the main story quest is pretty short. Most of the extra time is on side quests. I’ve heard people say that they can’t get to the next area because the main campaign is too short, you basically need to do a dungeon or two between zones or do side quest to continue.
According to some, War Within is more ground friendly than Dragon Isles. So they’re fine until they finish leveling.
It is more ground friendly. And they give you a “slower” ride if you don’t want to use dragonriding during questing. For the few areas that require flying.
The only thing to avoid until you have normal flying is the dungeon “Dawnbreaker”
That’s pretty consistent with how Dragonflight was too, if I recall.
Even then, people can use the ride along functionality.
True, I’m just warning people who may be queueing randomly.
Only assuming on this, but I do know someone that couldn’t do sky riding so they went to classic.
It’s an old game. FPS racing flying is not given to everyone, we’re an aging player base. It’s normal for some of us to prefer the easy regular flying. Not hate towards dragon riding, but I do hate it. I tried to do dragon race “best time 23 seconds” im like over 11 minutes.
