TWW Feedback - please get rid of Tyrannical!

Hey all. Longtime WoW gamer. Since the vanilla days. I am a cutting edge mythic raider. Nothing fancy like hall of fame but I always get CE. Avid keyrunner, I’ve got tons of experience carrying people through keys and just a ton of overall experience with mythic plus.

Mythic plus is obviously a very big part of endgame for a lot of us. And I’m really concerned with the new affix system. Some of it is good. The new seasonal affixes look cool. We’ve received some nice changes to mythic + in general for TWW. But the tyrannical/fortified affixes are REALLY bringing down the experience in my opinion and I think they’re going to severely hurt it overall.

Having literally EVERY dungeon above a lvl 4 be tyrannical is a VERY BAD idea and a HORRIBLE experience. Fortified as well to some degree but less than tyrannical.

Tyrannical just adds so much time and fatigue to running keys and now we can’t escape it. We can’t just do the minimum and wait for next week. It’s now in EVERY single key run forever if you’re doing keys above level 4. This was a very poor decision in my opinion. And I’m worried this is going to really hurt the activity as a whole. It adds so much time to boss encounters. The lethality isn’t a huge deal - it’s mainly the time. And it really hurts the pug experience. You end up getting to say the 3rd boss in Necrotic Wake where you wipe a few times and most people just quit because the key is bricked or they just can’t bear to spend another 4+ minutes on that fight again.

Sorry for the rant I just really think Blizzard needs to re think forcing tyrannical in every single key above level 4. I really think it’s going to hurt mythic plus badly. I’m already just not even wanting to run keys any more this week because the boss fights are so exhausting, especially with pug groups.

I just want to add here that a lot of dungeon bosses are severely overtuned. Stitch face in NW is disgustingly overtuned. I just stomped the first 2 bosses on a +5 and then we get to the third boss and the rot damage alone was too much for our geared healer.

But even aside from tuning. Tyrannical is just the worst affix and it’s such a drag to play through. And now we’re basically doomed to have to experience it on EVERY SINGLE RUN for the rest of TWW?

Blizzard please. Remove Tyrannical. Or add it to +15 or something. It ruins mythic plus. Especially with this crazy boss scaling we have right now

nah, youre complaining about an infinite scaled game mode. you just hit your ceiling. next thing you know, youll be complaining that you can’t do a key 2 level higher than yours cause “boss scaled too high” without tyrannical, simply because theres a higher multiplier on higher key level

i mean you bring up a different holistic point. why are fort and tyrannical even a thing when all they do is scale up health and damage…both of which are scaled up by key level anyways. like ive always hated both affixes but there was more of a distinction as to why they were there in prior seasons when they alternated so you would perhaps build differently depending on the week. now theyre just constant affixes every week doing the same thing key levels do

This expansion is truly showing why scalers like Tyrannical and Fort must be removed from the game. Just scale the keys better. No need for affixes to add the BS.

Tyrannical has always been my least favorite affix, out of all of them.
