TWW event, did something change?

Do we know for certain that the health jumps are due to attacks? They could be using any number of methods to trigger it.

It was fun for me.

If you just stand there, out of combat, the health doesn’t increase. When you enter combat, the health increases.

If you’re undergeared, you’re going to give the boss more health than you’ll ever do. Better to do that for the last 10% or 20% of the fight, rather than the entire thing.

I was on a VERY underpopulated shard last night doing the event. If I could land at a fresh mini-boss and just have it to myself for 10 seconds, I could bring it to 20% and then we could finish it off.

If people INSISTED on “helping” by tagging it before me, we’d be there for 3 minutes.

considering what it was to what it is now, feels like a 180.

They usually do make things one shot when they do changes .

One shot to the foot

Unless you only have two people in the vicinity, that is almost impossible to test accurately though.

The trigger could be the number of people close by… or even just clicking or selecting the mob could trigger it.

Note that I believe you are probably correct. I have just never seen any direct confirmation that it is true.

When the event started, there were 2 people in the zone. Me and another guy.

I was actually worried that we wouldn’t finish before the hour was up. But we were up to around 8 or 9 players by the end.

Still not sure how such a deserted shard happened.

Felt like this for me.

Yeah after awhile I get so bored while killing the mini bosses. It’s so draining espescially when we all are leveling. I go to the other events first than mini bosses, get those done first if I am able to…

I saw lots of complaints about bosses and mini bosses dying too fast. I think the change was due to that.

You forgot to mention less drops.

The issue with them making the other mini events viable is if you’re leveling a character, you’re basically screwed. Everything hits hard and has a lot of health. Killing the mini bosses is only viable because someone else will have aggro, but even then, some of them (Hakkar) are just not even worth doing because they kill you multiple times and then you lose out on any reward.

There has to be a middle ground between the bosses dying too fast, and taking too long. Scaling is way off for this event and it just sucks if you want to level alts through it.

It depends, personally, after the nerfs yesterday, only some of the other events would give currency. For example, kissing frogs, only gave me currency the first time I did it, where the other bosses / events would give it multiple times.

Just more changes that will push more players to actively afk the event.

Make the events faster-paced - not slower, fix the garbage ones like the frogs or perfect liver (if they can even be fixed), and adjust rewards if needed.

Beating on a mini-boss that does nothing but fear or stun or whatever for five plus minutes just isn’t engaging or fun.

With the change to 3 quests per day per account there are a lot of people running one rotation and quitting. My shard was pretty low pop by the time I got to play in the evening, and totally dead by the time I logged off.

As of right now, trying to level my rogue, I think there may be 4 people out here on this shard.

Hakkar is the only objective I’ll just straight up ignore on a lowbie alt. It’s instant death for anyone not max level the moment he does the blood drain. Everything else seemed to be okay. I’ve done the Tarren Mill vs Southshore, the Lazy Peons, and the Save the Tadpoles on lowbies without much issue.

Or it’s mostly lowbies there now, as most players like myself are finished with it. As participation drops, it’ll only get harder

none of it is ‘fun’ after the 3rd time

The scaling coefficient for mobs based on players (present, tagging, whatever) should be much, much lower if the player is < 70.

Leveling gear should drop much more often (each mini event even) and at the same ilevel as normal quest gear or they should add a vendor like with Timewalking that sells gear scaled to player level at a price an order of magnitude lower that that of level 70 gear.

Good luck to anyone playing off hours or planning to level later in the week or the last week or two of the event with the current scaling, stingy gear drops, and gear that is 100+ ilevels behind what is appropriate for a player’s level.
