Has zero to do with that. Early access was announced a while ago. If that was something people wanted they had plenty of time to save up and buy it.
Oh yes, and you can purchase WoW Tokens to sell for gold to purchase carries. Pretty bad arguement you’re making.
Same argument from just now. WoW Tokens.
A subscription is a continues payment, which requires a credit/debit card. Game time, on the other hand, you can also use a Credit/Debit card also to pay for that game time. Once again, bad argument you’re making.
Seriously!
Hey I disagree with everything you said. How do you make a gif on the wow forums though?
You can disagree all you want, but you can not argue with the facts.
It’s not worth it in my opinion the season is gonna start on September 10th like even if you are a casual gamer like myself that is more than enough time for you to get to 80 and do a couple of normal dungeons and be ready.
Just to clarify, you’re saying that gold making doesn’t give you any advantages, because you can also use your credit card to make gold?
That, and that there is no disadvantage/advantage of gold in general.
this is the most asinine thing I’ve seen in a long time, and my twitter feed is absolutely borked.
I don’t see an issue with most people because if they really want or need gold that badly drop $20 and get a token and like 300000 or more gold currently, I haven’t looked for long time so I’m not sure exact amount but I know it’s above 300000.
I can’t remember which interview of those top 3 hits, but in one of them Ion says basically no content is available, epic BOEs do not drop, and basically the only advantage someone will get is the opportunity to level an additional character before anyone else, but not capable of getting an edge on the economy.
Of course he said this after everyone got the epic version to get an edge on the economy
be trust level 3 and not reprimanded many times like me and link gifs right in here like you would png or jpg from the Internet
So now that your question is answered, I can’t help but be curious; are you going to quit the game and not buy the expansion because a paid early access will give some people a minor advantage on mat farming/selling?
Been playing the game for 20 years and continue to enjoy it. Just looking for info for my friends, sport.
Most people, if they can afford a monthly subscription and are not completely inept with their money, can, technically, afford to buy early access.
So it’s not really about affording it. It’s about if someone wants to spend that extra $40 on something that is, objectively, something that was included in every other expansion launch and nobody had to “pay early” just to be able to play on launch day.
The questions isn’t “can I afford this,” its more akin to “am I willing to let my arm be pulled like this, or do I give in and fork over my cash to the mugger?”
Nice, same here. I plan to do some gathering but don’t sell anything anyway. I’m just happy to play earlier and over the weekend. I think the early access is a tad scummy but don’t think there will be any real harm in it.
Totally agree with this. I’m really excited to play a “launch” during the weekend, which I think will be a cool new experience.
Which does not affect everyone’s gameplay and achievement points are useless.
Also does not affect everyone’s gameplay.
With how the loot system was changed, this doesn’t work like you think it does. You cannot guarantee loot anymore.
Because it’s part of this bad narrative that people are somehow ahead.
I’m sounding very angry and/or high and mighty in this. And I am angry about the monetization scheme, I think it is predatory and works off of FOMO just like others have said.
But I still purchased early access, lol, because I almost never treat myself to luxury items etc and I figured, hey, I’ve been playing this game for a really long time and it is, admittedly, a non-insignificant part of my life. So, for me, it makes sense to get this instead of a new fancy pair of shoes or whatever it might be.
Ok, so yea there’s a headstart with proffessions, but at the same time, there’s only early access people playing at the time. So, presumably, much less of a market buying things. Sure there’s some advantage, but i dont think by much.
I think we’ll definitely have a head start farmihg, but in the end im not sure how much that will translate because people will en stuck at lower level content as well. When raiding and mythics happen is when it gets hotter imo.
