Then don’t click it. Just like you don’t click it now. Literally nothing changes for you.
There is a toggle already. It’s called MAKE A HUMAN CHARACTER.
Oh, when did they get Druids?
And since when can they shapeshift into Worgen when going into combat?
Oh true, now that I think about it, shapeshifting should have at least a 3 second cast time for druids. That’s a lot of magic for having no cast time, especially when you compare it to a Worgen where it’s form is physiologically part of it.
I seriously wonder if this person is just unaware of two forms and that worgen can turn into humans. It would certainly reflect the problem that the ability lacks practical common use.
It does seem like people that are comfortable with using just the worgen form at all times have forgotten that they also designed their human appearance at creation at the same time.
Oh ok.
Then dracthyr players should roll a human or blood elf instead of being given an auto transform too.
See how that logic works?
I honestly don’t see how any of that logic works.
This I agree with. Worgen should be forced to go into worgen form while in combat, but the ability should have the option to be a toggle. It works this way for dracthyr, and they have the aura attached to their human form. I don’t see why this can’t work for worgen. Hopeful thinking i guess.
Seems like such a no-brainer. It just takes that one neuron to link up with another to make that realization that the functionality they created for Dracthyr would work perfectly for Worgen.
Out of sight, out of mind, I suppose?
Perhaps a quest to take back Gilneas and completion gives a “Tame the Beast” ability that auto casts two forms back to human after combat. Think Dark Ranger customizations after the Return to Lordaeron quests/achievement.
Keep everything as it is, just let people auto-human after combat if they’d like.
(Helpful for role play and race fantasy)
Why choose worgen if you gonna play human
Are you trolling? You’ve got to be trolling. You’re at least the 5th person to get this wrong in the thread. Do you even know what the “Two Forms” ability does? Did you even read the OP?
I just did the heritage armour quest. I won’t spoil it, but the general moral of the story is that gilneans are more than just a curse - they are strong despite the curse, not because of it.
Gilnean NPCs have the choice to switch forms whenever they like, it’s just odd that players do not.
I don’t see why a Worgen Magic user would turn into Beast form to cast magic.
Warriors, Rogues, Druid melee, Hunter, etc. That I get. That physicality and kind of combat would absolutely have great use of the Worgen form. But magic users? Why would they need claws and teeth they can’t even use? If you aren’t using your body to fight, you don’t need the Worgen form. Magic users need focus and discipline to properly channel their power. Animalistic rage and bloodthirst would only impede that.
Two forms should absolutely be a toggle. It just doesn’t make sense as it is now.
This actually makes the case that Worgen shouldn’t be allowed to be casters whatsoever. The “animalistic rage” is what worgen are supposed to be in the first place. It’s curse, not a buff.
No toggle needed; no Worgen worth their fur would EVER change out of their awesome beast form!
Indeed, that is a case I would even make. But the subject of the thread is whether two forms should be a toggle.
And in physical combat, it IS a buff, lore-wise. Game side is why it isn’t, and likely why Worgen can be casters of any sort.
Yeah, a toggle option would be nice. Wow needs a massive Quality of life overhaul. Or a team just on this alone.
Forced change to Worgen form on direct damage attack.
Not on casting, shape shifting, using skills to attack or cast spells on others. Only when You take direct damage.
Healers can heal in human form, ranged dps can attack in human form, caster can cast in human form, melee can even melee as long as they dont get it.
But as soon as you get hit, you should forcefully change to worgen form as a self defense mechanism. Taking damage your instincts take over to fight and you cant maintain your human form.
Could also become a challenge to try and get thru dungeons or areas without getting hit and being forced to change.
