Twitch Drops

Is there an “approved” list of streamers to watch, or is it just anybody?

I don’t think anyone actually knows.

You link your bnet account to your twitch account, then just watch anyone streaming WoW.

What do you even get. It would have to be a pretty big incentive to make me link my account and watch while i can play the game for myself…

If it’s good then I’ll just load it up on second screen while i play.

*anyone that has Twitch drops enabled

This week, a dragon kite.

Look for a streamer set up for the drops.

Oh yeah, forgot that bit.

Also I think it says anyone playing Dragonflight specifically, so it might not work if someone is doing a Classic stream or old content or something like that, I don’t really know how Twitch works

I’ve never used Twitch and don’t have an account, but thinking about doing it for when the mount becomes available. Just open up a stream and toss it behind wow while I play. Not sure making a twitch account is worth it for one mount though…don’t care about a kite or fireworks, haha.

I don’t think there’s separate categories. I believe there was briefly the other day but I heard it got reversed.

when you go to twitch streamers with authorized drops should be tagged.
it’s been left somewhat ambiguous, as usual.

Eh, your choice. But it’s not like it costs anything more than a bit of time. And the surrender of your personal data to another big corporation. But hey it’s amazon. They probably have your info already.

When youre browsing the content creators in the dragonflight category there will be little subtext under the video which will say Drops Enabled

Twitch drops are the bees knees. So many good cosmetics in Rocket League from just opening and muting a tab.

pretty much everyone already has our information…
everyone from sleazy motel-room dark-web-hackers
to multi-billion dollar transnational corporations…
we are under the digital microscope!

Thanks Mag…I am aware…I guess I was referring to
the fact that I have seen no formally published LIST
of specific streamers to access.

Yeah, I’m taking that to mean that it really is as open as it seems. Like maybe everyone is overthinking, expecting it to be somewhat overseen by blizzard. Even some streamers I’ve seen have been like, “I haven’t heard anything about it.” But the page just says we link our accounts, streamer enables drops, and we’re good to go. So ok. That’s all we’ll do.

I guess the upshot is that if it turns out there was some key piece of information left unclear to everyone, and I miss out on the first drop, at least it’s just the pet. I would like it because it’s free, but it wouldn’t ruin my life if I missed out for some reason. The important one to me is the mount.
