Twitch Drop Question - But from a Streamer

I’m pretty sure this answer’s on a Reddit or can be dug up on Twitch somewhere, but, figured I’d answer here since so many of ya’ll have been going after the Feldrake the past couple of days.

I’m a new streamer (and I mean baby booties new) and I start later tonight. I’m gonna do a casual push through of DF, taking my time, reading quest text, etc. A chill thing for people who don’t have the ability to play yet for whatever reason. That being said, 4 hrs is a nice chunk of time for some people, so my question is this.

If someone sits with me for say 2 hrs watching before they gotta go (or if they come in later and I go to bed before they get their 4 hrs), can they watch another streamer for the other 2 hrs to get that drop or do they need to stick with me for the entire four hours? Like I said, I know, it’s probably there somewhere but I got a lot of parenting/adulting stuff to do today before I can sit down and prep for my stream, so it’d be insanely helpful to be able to come back to this later with an answer waiting for me.

Thanks in advance for any answers and hope ya’ll enjoy the content!

I think you need to be part of the authorised streamers already to become part of the event.

Good luck with your new stream though. :+1:

Well that’s damn unfortunate. Was hopin to help some guildies and other folks get their drakes before it shuts off tomorrow (I saw the loot drop enabled in my manager and figure let’s go for it!) but nvm.

Thanks for letting me know now before I made complete dooky of myself later. lol

You do not need to be an authorized streamer. I am not even a Twitch affiliate but several guildies have gotten both drops so far.
Also yes they can you 2 hours and someone else for 2 hours. Just make sure you have drops enabled and you have connected battle.net to your twitch account.

This is incorrect. You need to be qualified for the 2 subs twitch pet drop that is it

Then I am really confused cause after I read what Simply said, I sat down in a panic to double check it and I used my wife’s twitch who hasn’t been able to claim the mount yet (and she’s connected and everything and I’ve got everything labeled/connected/enabled on Twitch for me to do it.) but wasn’t offering up the option.

So. I’ve clearly done something wrong then or there’s something to this that I’ve missed. sighs

Thank you Senpu. I guess I’ll have to find some time to do some experimenting to figure this all out.

First things to check
Go to both yours and hers battle.net account and connections and make sure the twitch you are using are connected.
Then go to your twitch and make sure drops are enabled.
Start stream make sure you are streaming retail and not classic and have her connect to your stream. Give it a few minutes to be safe and then you can check for drop %. On a PC just click the account picture for the drop down not sure how to check on phone.

Thank ya Senpu!
I didn’t change anything, it may have been a hiccup or something, but I fired up the stream a couple of times and it finally caught the drops enabled option and started it so I can run proper later.

Thank you again!
