Can someone please explain to me why it’s so important that Twinks be in a seperate BG if people with heirlooms are equally as powerful and also in a bracket with everyone else?
2 things:
I understand why people want seperate brackets and that wouldnt even bother me if those q’s worked, but they don’t at all.
I litterally just like fighting with less buttons. So the seperate q isnt a big deal if it would… Work.
I also noticed since I tried the twink thing a few days ago that there isnt a significant difference between somone with twinked gear at 19 and somone with a leveling set.
If there are ALWAYS going to be people in every bracket with leveling gear why did you put the twinks in seperate brackets?
And if you INSIST on the seperate brackets, which… Fine… Can you make them work?
Or make instead a bracket for new players so they dont encounter people with leveling gear/ full 19 dungeon gear?
Do yourself a favor before someone makes a point your ignorance of the game. Go take a look at instance loot for a lvl 19 toon as compared to heirlooms.
That would require there to be more Twinks who actually wanted to battle other Twinks instead of ganking those in the BG wearing Heirlooms and leveling gear. It isn’t Blizzard’s fault that Twinks no longer wanted into the BGs when they could no longer Gank and were only go to fight other Twinks.
They shouldn’t be in a separate BG. We need to bring PvP back and make it great again!! No experience for anyone in BGs. Have only 1 BG Que like the old days when PvP was amazing!! It doesn’t matter if it is 19, 39 or 120 level we are all Twinks trying to Min/Max a way to global someone.
People get upset when they lost and blamed it on them alot of people in the low lvl bracket are not bright they even called people who use gliders twinks lol
Because that isn’t true. Just yesterday, I inspected a 19 twink who had nearly 50% more health than this character had at 19 with enchanted heirlooms and all.
People will compare one enchanted heirloom to one popular BiS piece in a vacuum and suggest that they’re similar. They conveniently ‘forget’ that:
Small stat differences per slot culminate into a large difference where every slot is factored
Most players would not enchant non-heirloom slots, of which there are many (why would they? The gear will be replaced in a matter of hours, not days)
Most players lack heirloom rings
Heirloom trinkets are horrendous
Most players lack versatility at lower levels and wear crit in abundance (a stunted stat in PvP)
As another poster said, the gap widens in later brackets where ridiculous pieces with three gem slots each become usable
Twinks use gliders. GLIDERS!
I can’t say that a separation had to happen because of these points, though. The gear differences needed to be managed for pre-cap BG’s to be somewhat enjoyable but there are ways to go about it that would have kept everyone together… but something had to give. Maybe things will be different when they rescale brackets for the level squish.
they work its just now that twinks only can queue into twinks now they don’t wanna play their twink because they only played it because they could beat a leveling noob with simple numerical advantage and not skill advantage
Correct.
In this case, nothing was changed within the balance of efficacy of power within gear.
As it currently stands, players can Gem and Enchant their gear all the way up the brackets.
Players want that extra Experience and Heirlooms are mandatory for levelers within the sub 120 Brackets, Effort meets 0 Effort.
Perfect time to display this for those who truly understand how to make our characters strong.
Heck, take a look at the threads regarding gear discrepancy at end game.
Same complaints, in fact a geared character at 120 can have literally 10x the HP of poorly placed fresh 120.
Correct, and this thread is relative to that.
Interesting though, Shadowlands has lots of Gems and Enchants on the horizon…
If they were, twinks would be wearing them. And they rarely are except for maybe one slot.
Keep testing, I did the same thing with a 39 warrior and my semi-twinked warrior was hitting for double the damage for the same abilities as an heirloom leveller warrior. Same ability and double the damage. There was no way I could get the same gear before levelling out of the bracket, I tried.
They work amazingly if you are levelling right now. the games outside of the 10-29 brackets are really good. before the separation, this was not the case and BG’s for me were terrible any time a twink was in the game (even on my team).
No, as has been claimed not as has been proven. A claim made in just another attempt at getting Twinks the ability to enter normal BGs so they can once again Gank!
No what you describe is bringing back BG ganking again where a Max level character bought the best gear for a low level toon that only did BGs for ganking because to do anything else leveled them out of a BGs level range!
Never expected this debate to continue, but I guess its to be expected. I have a feeling these arguments are going to continue for a long time. It will be interesting to see what the Shadowlands expansion brings.
There are 2 different pieces of heirloom gear for most slots. When they implemented level scaling they “normalized” this by changing both in most cases to crit-haste. So now there is less choice where there was choice before.
Early in BfA they changed leveling gear to put versatility on many pieces.
Honestly guys I dont even care if we have a different q, but can you make that q WORK please?
Again, the difference between being SMASHED by someone in leveling gear and SMASHED by someone in Twink gear is null when you have neither set. Why separate one from the noobs and not the other?
Why not give the new people THEIR own q?
And- Side note- I would never walk in a dojo and complain the white belts beat me up if I was new. Why do people expect to have victory without understanding the bar in a competitive play style?
I got my a** kicked by people in leveling gear in the beginning, and instead of crying I realized maybe I needed to update my understanding of what it meant to be good at the game.
If youre gonna separate the toons that don’t level, fine, I get it.
Fix the Q please.
We’re not- that’s the whole point. We want people who are actually better than us to kick our butts. Not people with cheesy on-use trinkets and raw stat advantages they got from running a ton of dungeons.
