Twinks still a HUGE problem

That is who we are catering to with this change. They are still getting rekt by heirloom wearing players. I think people just wanted twinks out of the way so they could dominate with enchanted heirloom gear tbh.

That’s not true, we aren’t catering to the ill-equipped. The actual twinks we’re talking about are dominating players with absolutely reasonable gear.

I mean, they do. I don’t know what game you’re playing, but twinks right now do stupid amounts of damage. Maybe that Arete can finally chime in with his legion account data to back that up.

What do you think the ratio is of people happy the twinks are ‘gone’ (assuming exploit didn’t exist) compared to the people that wish they were still around?

I did right under 120 games on the way to 120 on my DI Warrior and something like 60 on my BE Priest from 87-120. I’d share the link here again but I’m on my phone and its a hassle. I ended up like 65-45 by the time I hit max level, I’d say at least 80 of those games were prior to the separation. Nothing but enchanted heirlooms and gear that dropped from rares/BGs.

Ran into plenty of twinks and completely shut down plenty of them.

Gemmed twinks in the 50s/60s/70s, guys in full mythic/azerite gear at 110 and azerite/anniversary twinks 111-119. I’ve got a handful of screenshots of me outdamaging gemmed twinks in the 70s, I’ll have to dig them out when I hop on my PC tomorrow.

Ok, so that leads me to assume 1 of 3 things:

You were more skillful than the twinks (my default assumption - supporting my statement about twinks being bad at the game which is why they cheat)
They weren’t really twinks because their gear was only marginally better
The rock-paper-scissor affect overturned their gear advantage

Twink has become a rather subjective term. We have found it now means:
Traditional BiS definition
Chanted looms
Gems + chants on anything
Full slots
Any gear not out of a starting area
And gliders…yes, gliders.
