…no, twinks are any level…
Tl;dr
Twinks are just very geared people pick a level…they destroyed people who are less geared than them in PvP from level 1-120 all same rules apply. Now genuinely I wonder why someone passing through a bracket leveling up worries about twink in general who shut off exp? You win some and lose some regardless through premades twink and non twink teams alike, not a exploit there. Or random groups having better geared/exp’d people in general. Or outright people who are better at the objectives in general and use team work. Twinking from my knowledge at their worse as I said before are usually when they are premades, and that being said as others have said the 110s are the prime culprits of this nowadays.
It’s not twinks themselves who generally are a issue, it’s them being a premades who generally beat random groups. But think about this, a premades would beat a random group regardless likely in less spectacular fashion but more than likely be routed all the same. But why take these losts seriously…its a random BG that’s not even top level.
Twink premades are rare in the grand scheme of things outside of 110 bracket but least both sides of their groups so Alliance/Horde both feel the pain. So I wouldn’t cry feeling like a special snowflake, just keep on passing through and leveling to cap. Twinks have always been around for long as I have played and find that it’s just a way to play the game to your liking. Some people like a change of pace, and it’s good to have things in the game that can appeal to a different variety of players.
Twinks do what they do just to destroy people some enjoy old content, some use their for making gold, helping friends level and a assortment of other things. But despite why they are here it is good to remember if you have had a bad experience with twinks in PvP is only a passing thing on the way to 120 then you will suffer same conditions at 120 cause gear matters yet will you cry about that? No.
So I say cut the crying in general level your toon like your supposed and when you get frustrated over random BG losts it’s probably time to take a break for a bit cause it’s not that serious. Both sides have twinks and suffer same issues when they face them take yours and smile or make one yourself just to find out they are not immortal and do bleed and lose games too then you back to drawing board. Simple math geared 120> any twinks, get there. No
…good post…at least right now, with warmodes off, you can go out into the world and quest…me personally, I leveled most of my toons on PVP servers, constantly fighting horde, most of the time more then one at a time…and I was ret when ret was garbage but I still managed to get KOS by more then one guild…my rule was you gank me when I have a bunch of mobs on me and we have a problem…I would camp people until they had to log off, even an hour if I had to…it was a rough upbringing that I had in wow so this is why I don’t understand the uproar with PVP and twinks…premades are really frustrating since normal PVP goes out the window because you can’t get someone 1v1…I learned PVP in vanilla by grinding out AV (lvl 60) where I would stay in the center area and attack anyone and everyone running by, class didn’t matter because I went after everyone running by…I taught my ganking buddy the same thing…and guess what, I got a title to reward all my hard work…LOLOLOLOL…of doing this with ret…it was rough, especially when I didn’t have the gear to back it up…this is why I’m dumbfounded by the crying about twinks…you win some and you lose some…
You want to talk rough upbringing I left FFXI which I started playing in 02…alot of people left there to play WoW back then cause FFXI was grueling tough. Years later I wanted a change of pace and started playing WoW really wanting To try out the PvP aspect of it. No real in depth study of what i was jumping into like realm population and how PvP generally went outside watching some vids I thought we’re cool of BGs and arenas.
So foolishly I jumped on a realm overrun by horde I mean used to be a running joke they had more blood elves than we had members in our entire faction. Auctioneers stayed dead and camped with Horde. They ran “For The Horde” almost weekly, no exaggeration at all. Tarren Mill South shore wars was just a exercise in futility was a only a matter of time before any revenge scenario in Azeroth got responded to by the bored more waiting in orgrimmar to hear world PvP happening and come in by the boatloads to overrun us …but all the same the few of us determined to fight just did what we had to do win or lose.
I decided to get good at ganking which I being a altoholic had every class leveled so would seen my rogue and druid on missions of destruction when we were getting ganked or I got camped by a group or higher level. Just meant I turned Xroads and StV into graveyards l, you learn to choose your battles. You can’t be everywhere and protect everyone so I made them pay for ganking, if you can’t get the culprit take it out on the faction itself how I did it lol.
Hearth+bubble =profit
Back in the day nothing you could do about it
…I have 1 of everything and when you need the flavor of the day to get the job done, it’s a good feeling…for a long time my go to was a rogue and I was good enough on my rogue to counter everything…and then I had a aff loc…or BM hunter…or pally when pallies were op…or shadow priest when they were op…or DK…when my hunter couldn’t kill the guy griefing in WOTLK, my shadow priest could…but I have never really been good at organized PVP, always lose my train of thought when my partner is getting killed…1v1, when I don’t need to worry someone else, I do much better…I remember getting the 100HK for the mount in Nagrand…that was hard but I did it on a ret pally…
Yeah I was same way I didn’t get into organized PvP till end of Legion though I messed arpund 2 weeks before season on my enh sham in WoD think season 4. Otherwise I like solo PvP especially wpvp or BGs. I played every class at cap for a few xpacs before I starr burning out doing it and played less and less classes. But made me good in 1v1 scenarios in wpvp I was terrible, worse person to gank was me cause if I couldn’t get you I was going to run amok over everywhere getting random till they logged some of them and made characters to tell me how much they couldn’t stand me lol.
But other then the revenge I rarely engage in totally unfair PvP, I like a bit of a challenge and will attack people higher level even if they have a friend or 2 depending on situation.
Nothing gets alot more fun than world PvP though arena matches can of course be exhilarating but i mainly play with random so that gets tedious fast forever trying to mesh with different people and outright annoying alot of other times.
I 100% agree with the title of this thread. I just Leveled 2 characters through the 20 and 30 brackets this being the 3rd and the imbalance twinks bring to those brackets is just disgusting. The amount of players leaving the battlegrounds and commenting on how they regret queuing to PvP because they are getting killed as fast as they spawn was vast.
Twinks are ruining Battlegrounds for non twinks. Cant even say its whole teams of twinks that are required to break the game. 2-3 are all you need vs non twinks and its a total blowout. I am not upset with the players ruining what could be a great experience for levelers; my disgust is directed towards the people responsible for allowing this to even be a thing.
There is no selling point to this game anymore I want to get my friends and some family members back into it but its just so bad…
I am not looking forward whats coming in the 40+ brackets. Dam it! so disgusted at the whole ordeal.
You should be having no problems at all in the 29 or 39 brackets as a MM hunter.
Even with your total neglect for enchants (BOAs), that character is completely viable.
Incendiary Ammo scope is getting a well deserved nerf in the upcoming patch.
BOA weapon - On proc + Aimed Shot can easily melt any character within those two brackets while being used by MM.
If you can’t beat em, join em.
I did.
Anyone leveling through horde or alliance 80’s bracket, you now have a twink (mostly, still missing some gear) healer to help see levelers safely through my chosen bracket.
I do not, under any circumstances, condone or approve of graveyard camping, and will not go heal anyone who does it.
The WoW player base is shrinking, WoW isn’t the cash cow it used to be, and it’s really time for levelers and twinks to stop the hostilities and work together to keep BG’s and WoW alive.
I have no easy answer, there may be no answer, but the best I can do for now, is to help levelers the best way I know how… by twinking a healer.
In fact, I have been treated better in game by twinks than levelers…
And there it is, Thank you.
Maybe it’s an Alliance side problem. Not having issues as Horde leveling through, and I’m not even playing a great class in the teens/20s bracket
its not an alliance or horde balance issue, its an issue with two different play styles competing in the same bracket. It is just wrong.
I’m not seeing these twinks on either side.
not sure how you can miss them, but its ok.
Because they’re likely not there as much as is exaggerated in these forums.
Yeah they are kinda hard to miss in randoms lol.
I just watched a twinked out ret paladin wreck about half the alliance team in AB.
Glad I was on his team.
Class balance is more an issue than gear
you keep saying that but that is not the topic, you should make a thread on it.
But why do that when they can try to derail this one?
