TLDR: Vote kick Twinks if you’re unhappy, keep them if you’re happy. Group majority always will decide as Blizzard intends.
I see a lot of people discussing our invincible lvl 11 Timewalking Warrior twinks right now. I also see a lot of people discussing whether or not scaling should allow it due to the blasphemous nature of twinks, to be played by 1 instead of as a team. And, I get that. Classic Timewalking is supposed to be nostalgic and enjoyable, not a snooze fest and reminder of our broken scaling. I do get it.
Here’s the thing though… none of that really matters. Every time you queue, you have a choice to complete the dungeon in a way that satisfies the group, vote kick, or leave.
So these are your options:
- Create a forum post where no twink player will be swayed and the issue persists.
- Vote kick the twink and hope it passes. If the group doesn’t agree with you, majority rules and you’re cursed with a twink run.
- If it doesn’t pass, you have the free will to make the decision on if you want a 30 minute penalty or a 5 minute dungeon run.
OR - Become a twink yourself. Live long enough to become the villain.
These are our choices. This is how Blizzard views contentions in lfg content - to be handled via majority rules and vote kick. If you don’t like it, nobody is forcing you to do it. If you’re ever dissatisfied with the random grouping, people will encourage you to find your own manual group even for timewalking level difficulty.
You are going to find people that agree with you that want to fix the scaling. You’ll find people that disagree and are adamantly grateful for fast runs and want this to continue. You’ve got the twinks that are benefiting from this daily that won’t stop unless forced. THAT is why it is decided amongst each group. So, start deciding. Talk, discuss, initiate a vote kick and see where people stand.
But literally arguing over whether or not we should allow twinks is not ever going to be a decision on our end. It will be Blizzard and it will be a calculation for scaling, which will ultimately have a loop hole and the cycle continues. Until then, make your voice heard where it matters - in the dungeon.
Twinks will not be corrected in accordance with whatever arbitrary difficulty requirement people may be wanting in lfg. Issues just don’t end up getting corrected that way. If the majority of the players in that group really dislikes them, vote kick. Twinks will stop when they stop getting groups that will entertain them.
Just my thoughts - I don’t care either way if a twink is running the show. I heal so that people get shorter queues and just sell satchels on the AH if I get them. It never matters to me one bit, but I figured someone needs to just outline our choices as a community to decide for ourselves in a constructive way that can actually make a difference.
