I was going to write a big long complaining post here detailing every single issue and how to fix it…but it really boils down to one simple fact.
Twink characters absolutely destroy the PUG dungeon experience while leveling up. It doesn’t matter what role, what dungeon, or what level its happening I absolutely hate it. I don’t know if this an unpopular opinion or not? Maybe it is?
I just don’t see the appeal of it. And if it’s going to exist as an option for players to partake in it, there needs to be an option for players to avoid it.
Most bare bones answer, separate queues. Likely the least amount of work for the devs? I’m not sure. I would LOVE to have an option where I could choose to not queue up with anyone who has their xp gains turned off. I wouldn’t even care if the queue ended up being longer, because it would mean I at least get to PLAY THE GAME when I get in there. Heirlooms I think are largely ok, they do make things a bit easy but its not nearly as bad imo as some druid tank twinked to the 9’s soloing the whole dungeon while everyone else struggles to keep up. Some classes just really have no hope either, poor death knights have like zero mobility.
And the twinked out Monks? Holy $&*$#
Honestly, Blizzard. Please. Find a solution to this. It is destroying the leveling, and killing any feeling of challenge or accomplishment. Yes many players have played them all to death, but how is that the problem of newer players or even us vet players who just want to be challenged somewhat along the way? Why is it even an option in the game? For pvp stuff? Why is twinking the answer to what ever pvp problem it is there to solve? Is there no other way? WHY IS THIS A FEATURE IN THE GAME!???
Twinks make the 10-19 bracket horrible for non-twinks. However, that period doesn’t last very long, and it allows a rather healthy population of WoW players something to enjoy, as they have since the game’s inception.
I don’t like being one-shotted by twinks, but I’m not going to ask all of them to stop twinking just so I’m not inconvenienced for that short period.
I think in PVP there is a stronger argument for there being a twink problem…but the OP is oddly complaining about twinks in PVE making content too easy while leveling.
I swear the sense of entitlement of people is insane…
Okay so what do you want blizz to do? Prevent players from decking out their low level characters as much as possible simply because you find the lack of challenge in low level content unenjoyable?
Honestly that sounds like a you problem. Everything is working as expected.
Go buy a character level boost of it bothers you so much.
maybe exp locked characters cant join for BGs at all?
Might ‘fix’ the problem.
If they remove my ability to lock my characters to keep them in old content for my solo game…however…I walk out of the game…permanently.
When current content is trash old content is the ONLY reason I stick around.
Two expansions worth of trash and Im still here because of being able to lock characters at X level and never see current with them.
I’m having a hard time seeing why this would be an issue. The only thing these players bring is more damage/healing. If the point of leveling through dungeons is to get the dungeon completed as fast as possible, why would you not want that?
Sure as a level 50 tank I found it disconcerting at first that a level 10 shaman was ripping threat off me, but then i realized that level 10 shaman was also 1-2 shotting packs of mobs and healing people to full with 1 cast, so I went with it - taunted the mobs that the shaman didn’t have aggro on, completed the dungeon in record time, then queued up again with the same person.
