What do you observe???
I was curious if anyone has seen a decline in this from the glory it used to be. I ask because boe’s for such purpose generally are hard sellers and often go for low gold on my server.

I’ve noticed that people expect absolutely ridiculous mountains of gold for any garbage piece of gear below 60, and even more so for the the “twink” items. It baffles me when the same person posts the same item for weeks on end without it getting bought. Guess losing more on deposits is fun.

My server has several twinks. I wouldn’t say its dead at all, but the brackets themselves might have less than ideal queue times depending on how many exist on both factions.
Yeah that’s why I was curious. My server has been unique to say the least.
I also agree that people from day one been kinda brain dead when it comes to the AH. I dont know how the other server fared but the first month I saw stuff posted for less than Vendor value. How does that make sense lol
If those people didnt have an auction addon then the game didnt tell them what the vendor value for it was
I don’t think twinking is dead. Rather, it has yet to fully come to life. Once the major ranking rush is over and people get their level 60 BiS gear folks will start looking to twinking as the next thing. As for the value of twink items being low, the higher population makes them less rare and therefore cheaper at this point in time.

I’m not one to do this much, but I agree with Asmon on this.
Twinks are people that can’t hack it at 60.
EVERY 60 is a twink, when you think about it.

People have learned to raid log. This means they work their main and play something else while they wait.

The current content is BGs. That means working their main in BGs.
Twinking happens when people are bored.
Have to disagree. Twinks are something for you to pvp on with the benefit that once it is geared it is completed. A 60 is never really a twink because you are always grinding for your next upgrade. By the time you have all your BiS gear, odds are the next content patch will be out before you have the chance to actually fully enjoy it. Twinks allow pvp without having to worry about having to regear yourself. I personally like not having to stress about it.

Until Naxx is released and farmed to the point of one being fully geared, its hardly false.

I think there is some merit here although we really don’t know what the future holds as far as content expansions.
Others had a good point too about people focusing on the 60’s. Guess we will see how it plays out.

There’s no way classic+ could ever actually be made due to the insane hyperinflation of gear in the last 2 raid tiers.
It would be literally impossible to create any new zones / 5 mans, etc. that would work well for 60s in quest / dungeon blues and 60s in naxx / aq40 purples.
You guys all know this.
The only thing it could be would be more raid tiers, which would be so small a number of players as to be equally meaningless.

Ah HA, so we have the answer! Since Classic will not be getting expansions. Twinking 60’s is goal.
Disagree, because a twink is my only realistic chance to have the best possible gear. At 60 people will always out gear me, especially of my luck keeps up like it has…
As I’ve already stated, until Naxx is out and on farm, “twinking” a 60 is impractical and not possible.

They can easily change stats to however they want them, stamina being the big one. It would require rebalancing, but so what.
My server (Kromcrush) has a twink guild on horde side with 200+ in it.

thats wrong and asmon is dumb. some do it because its a smaller time investment, not about skill at all
you dont need bis either, huge misconception about what it takes to be competitive with them
