We have all seen debates over whether twinking should be allowed and how to handle twinks once battlegrounds launch. Going with the #NoChanges philosophy, I personally would like to see the concept it in its original state (like everything else). Some will disagree, but I have always found joy in low level twinking.
The question in mind is about enchants. Given that the team is doing a rebuild on a newer client, how will this effect enchants’ level ranges? At some point in the middle of the game’s lifespan enchants where given gear level ranges. For example, this prevented enchanting a level 19 weapon with a max level agility enchant such as Mongoose. Will we see twinking in it original glory? Will we be able to pour 100s of gold into high level enchants for low level twinks? Or will enchants have certain level ranges? Has this been discussed?
At this point, I would think that if Blizzard hasn’t come out and told us about a gameplay change like that, it’s fair to assume it will be as it was then.

In Vanilla there was no limit on anything. You could level on accident and ruin your twink, and you could use any enchant no matter the level of the gear.
From what I remember you could place end game enchants on low level items however I remember there being something about a decrease in power. No idea, never twinked and never cared for it. Just a old probably wrong memory. Lets go digging in the internet.
Edit: I mean specifically crusader enchant.
The newer build doesn’t affect how classic will work in comparison to vanilla, with exception to a few things.
We don’t need to discuss things like these, because Nochange.

I don’t believe there being a decrease in power. Fiery and Lifestealing were very popular because of this. IIRC +30 agi scaled even better in the lvl 19 bracket.
Idk there is just some naggy voice in the back of my head saying crusader had a decrease in ppm on low level items. Like I said probably wrong era memory but it is there none the less.
Enchants were not affected by levels in Vanilla.

You are correct, I was thinking about weapon speeds.

Something something internet archive something something.
The level restrictions on enchants first appeared in TBC and applied to TBC enchants. Max level vanilla enchants were unaffected and still allowed on any equipment. Also, the “level” restrictions were actually item level restrictions. Twinks could get around them by finding quest gear that had a 35+ item level (if there was a quest available that had an appropriate reward). This was most common in the 20-29 bracket with the Nat Pagle Fishing Boots from the STV fishing contest being the big exception for the 10-19 bracket.
Reduced effect for high level enchants didn’t come until much later.
I don’t see them changing this for Classic.

Enchants were primarily blocked out by Expansion. Considering everything Classic is going to be based off the original, Vanilla WoW experience. This should be able to go without saying.
No changes. It’s very simple.

IIRC bg wins would grant xp, so after a certain amount of time at level 19 or 29, you would accidentally level unless you afk out before every win. I ran into this on my hunter twink, but that might have been in wrath.
Did wins or flag captures in wsg in vanilla grant any xp? I always wanted the exalted wsg tabard on my 19 twink, but remember the xp being a problem.
The only way to get XP in Vanilla in BG’s was to turn in Marks ( it was 3 I believe).

Obviously you don’t know what you’re talking about. BG wins did give xp. Don’t give people misinformation maybe?
Spell power and Healing power enchants are effected since they scale at full with a spell that’s 3 sec cast or something around there. So anything that casts faster than that gets less SP added.
No they didn’t, that wasn’t added until Wrath. The only way to get XP from BG’s was to turn in Marks.
