I like em so far, they’re pretty cool, but as a healer who basically only pugs dungeons that mana orb thing that steals all my mana just sucks. It’s not fun at all. I imagine it’s no problem in a coordinated group, but in a pug it can be a nightmare. And as the healer I’m basically helpless, I try to help a little with damage, but usually I’m focused on keeping the group healed so I’m dependant on the other dps to deal with it and usually they don’t. So yeah not a fun mechanic for a healer.
This is why my paladin got a promotion. I assume it’ll all be lost and use rogue-like weapon swings from haste to restore mana.
that stupid mana ball is varry buggy some times if you kill it right when it spawn it just takes the mana and dont refund it they nerfed it so it dies varry easy now
I literally just had that problem and ended up dead on a run due to the mana loss of the healer.
Rogues primarily seem to Blade Flurry it on spawn and that triggers a failed mana return. Which not only hurts heals but caster DPS are RIP.
I think the problem I had was the red dragon flight buff on the tank killing it really fast. I could be wrong.
No, you’re right that’s 100% the issue. The Mana Void sucks up mana after 3ish seconds of spawning, if it’s killed before it sucks the mana it’ll only suck the mana and not return it.
the hardest part abt these dungeons are legit the mp steal bc the dungeons are ez. i just pop cds and use my heal or like holy light if i don’t get anything back just buggy af
It’s not, it’s honestly fine, people just need to learn that they shouldn’t cleave the Mana Void as soon as it spawns. It needs a modicum of brain power and the Mana Voids are completely negligible.
When I’m playing my Rogue I turn off Blade Flurry, wait for the Void to drain mana then turn it back on and kill it. works every time unless someone else decides to kill it before it actually does its thing.
that doesn’t seem intended but who knows lol. cos then your heals is w/o mp for a bit.
i also see you have to be within it’s range but i stood right next to it and nothing.
so it seems a roll of the die but when i say “hard” it’s not that bad if u use cooldowns/pot.
these dungeons are heroics level otherwise. just an inconvenience dependin on if it bugs.
The only problem here happens with the tank buff. A couple of dodges back-to-back and the mana void is dead.
