I don’t agree that it’s the best strat. Maybe I’m bad at dodging it or I go full on Mongo. I’ll consider your advice since I asked.
I mean I play a lot of BGs and there is a lot of TD there so it’s good practice. Just the problem is the Tank could be kiting and it goes off, Tank could be on the mount it goes off, you could CC the tank it goes off.
Since TD goes off on attacks and CC taken that just means you could literally root the tank and it will go off. Then once TD goes off it’s on ICD you know you got some time before the next TD. Then in melee range don’t face tank him and make him move and strafe so TD procs in the wrong direction so you can dodge it.
TD just feels bad when it hits nothing so can’t see using it when there are so many corruptions that have such fantastic value and 100% uptime. I guess some players just want that one time where their proc wins but I rather take a corruption that gives you a chance to consistently win.
If TD procs only happened by attacking a target I could maybe see some of these peoples argument. However it doesn’t work that way so it makes it an incredibly random Proc that can be countered with low chance of hitting. Why take that corruption with such an awful mechanic in hopes of getting a random win at some point. Makes no sense.
I think if people understood how it worked they would just counter all TD tanks.

he’s been banned multiple times from what I can tell. this is going back 5-6 years. honestly can’t figure out if he’s just a troll, or if he actually believes the things he says.

You are seeing it happen because you don’t understand the mechanics or how to counter it. Which is very common in PvP. Most people don’t take the time to find out how to counter something and scream on the forums instead. Complaining about the most random proc that can be countered seems odd. When there are clearly better corruptions.
Gpie works 100% of the time and that isn’t okay either. What is your point? I clearly said that all % dmg and healing is bad for the game. I have always said that and been saying that for years!!! Remove all of it at once okay! I will have no argument if you remove every % damage from the game tomorrow but don’t remove TD and not the ones causing a real problem.
You don’t like TD because a Tank can use it which is biased. You are complaining about a non issue that will never be a problem when Gpie is a bigger problem than TD.

There are FAR bigger issues with BFA right now and this guy wants to talk about TD… 
Literally if you made a top 50 things to fix in PvP right now TD isn’t even on that list. I think things that are actual issues should be addressed.
With that said have a good one and just counter TD with the advice I gave now that you understand the mechanics of it and with a Gushing wounds meta which will Proc TD at the wrong time since there are Dots always on the Tank. It isn’t going to be a good choice. Just CC the tank with Dots, get the TD proc. Then you can hard swap since it’s on ICD. Make sense? Good because it’s literally that simple.

Isn’t there a 12 sec ICD on TD? For it to hit you back to back like that, were you running away from the enemy and the same beam hit you twice?
1+haste rppm and keep in mind Haste is a stat that Tanks don’t stack in PvP. It is very unlikely that you will get more than 1 TD proc every 2 mins but it does have a chance to proc on damage taken which seems to be the best way to trigger it. As long as you aren’t training the tank and standing in front of it you won’t get hit by it.
Seriously doing a BG that is 10 mins you get about 5-7 TD procs.

Great movie and one of the best quotes of all time but that is how I feel when reading these threads in the forums. Seriously guys and gals just use some basic logic and debate the facts. TD will never be a problem and it can be countered easily. TD is literally one of the worst corruptions to use in PvP because of it’s mechanics and ICD. Using TD puts you at a severe disadvantage.
Lets also not forget how nerfed the TD damage is in PvP either. A 300k PvE hit is like 120k in Arena. It’s just all around bad they would have to increase it’s damage, proc rate and change the mechanics of TD for it to be good in PvP. Again it’s just laughable people complain about the worst corruption and gimmick because they don’t understand it.

You need 30% + TD so the tank is likely over 60 corruption. That should scream out attack the tank or spite him. You can’t run less than 30% TD because it hits like a wet noodle in PvP since it is nerfed.
Sounds like you made a lot of mistakes in those first 30 seconds.
Multiple chances you can avoid. Again use range, Dots and CC. Wait for TD to proc then its on ICD. Then you can hard swap. It’s literally that simple. It has a very low proc rate and ICD. Again imagine complaining about TD when Gpie exist and can be cast at anytime Again please remove all % dmg attacks.
I am not defending it I am letting you players know how to counter it and how bad it actually is. This is a learn to play issue on both ends. The Tank shouldn’t even be using TD if he was smart and the other team should just counter the Tank trying to cheese with it. This is an issue on not understanding the mechanics or the corruption or how to counter it.

Seriously every tank should be running Versa amps for Drest and SoTW major with some gushing for added pressure and burst. I can see some instances for Echoing builds in cleave comps with Torment trinket. TD is just an awful choice because you have to run 30+% of it and it can just be countered.
I run T5 Tents cause it’s the best I got while waiting for Versa amps, Gushing and Drest. At least with Tents I can HoJ then pop Versa on use to pump my Tent dmg. TD is just bad… really bad in PvP and will never be more than a gimmick that deletes players that made a mistake.
Fortunately, around 1.8-1.9k I never see tanks

I was on my disc priest. I can’t kite a druid tank. You are not hard swapping on a tank with close to a million HP.

There is nothing that can counter a tank sitting on you with TD. we are seeing it happen more and more as players continue to get corruptions.
