Tuskarr Thursday's, continuous commitment

(hands out Blubbery Muffins)…Hello fellow adventurers, I’m once again making a topic reminding Blizzard to consider adding Tuskarr as a playable race.

Azeroths true chosen race. Enough of this favoritism towards ELF(S) /spit! we don’t need anymore Victoria’s Secret models. Can we please get more unique races?

We don’t have as many elf races as you think. You do realise that the last 2 new races were a lizard and a dwarf, yes?

I can’t remember what the new race was before that. Was it the bfa races (vulp, zanda, DID and KT)? I think the last new elf race we had were velves and NB back in legion.

I just realized that we have 3 dwarf races. A race that hardly anyone plays. So we have 3 elf races and 3 dwarf races…

I’d rather have skinny KT than a derp joke race like tuskarr.

I’ve stated multiple times my money for a race change is already on the table should Tuskarr become playable

Might be the pointy ears. There are the Dracthyr visage forms and Harronir likely offering that elf presence. :robot::thought_balloon:

I don’t really get the appeal of Tuskarr, but … hey, I want to play Leper Gnomes and Hobgoblins, so you have my support!

See y’all next Thursday!

yay for tuskarr! playable would be cool
possible racials:
obvious +fishing something / +fishing finesse
+cooking / +cooking multicraft?
maybe for active racial a harpoon that drags enemy closer and does damage? but that wouldn’t be useful to like mages and stuff. i dunno. maybe something like ice floes talent for caster classes? skating around, lol?
+swim speed?
+frost resist? a lot of it?

Personally I don’t care for tuskaar. But I support more races in general.

I’m still coping for Mogu, Deer Girls, and gilgoblins.

If DID and BB are different, then so are Velf and Belf. There are 4 elf races.

I think that they should eliminate some races, so that we more deeply appreciate the ones that are left.

First to go, Vulpera. Mad Englishmen roam the countryside blowing silly horns and shooting them on sight. A combined force of Horde and Alliance bring a stop to The Most Splendid Hunt Ever, as it came to be known, and it is discovered that it was all just a silly mix up with portals and a good laugh (and some rather fetching fur hats) was had by all!

Next would be the Drachwhatevers. They aren’t so much eliminated as it is discovered that they are actually humans roleplaying as elves cosplaying as ‘dragons’. This double shameful practice was promptly abolished. A great bonfire was ignited, and all the offending rubber ‘dragon’ suits were burned while a rather somber and subdued crowed watched on. That is until it was noticed that the suits were still occupied by the roleplaying cosplayers and the next thing you know wine was flowing, kegs were tapped and there was merriment all around.

There’s TWO great story arcs and TWO less ‘races’. Heck, Anduin can even feel gratuitously bad afterwards as a poignant and amazingly heroic journey type counterpoint to everyone’s callous disregard for recent events. Compellingly interesting character growth!

Hard disagree. Removing stuff like races should not ever be an option.

Perhaps you have a reason for your stance?

I mean, the reasons are obvious. Even if it’s a niche race, someone is playing it. Forcing all those players into race changes, or in your examples case outright deleting a class, would cause an outrage.

Especially if the reason for the removal is as arbitrary as someone not liking the race.

Honestly the fact you even need to ask for reasons shows a concerning lack of care for your fellow players.

They could have forgotten that Nightborne are a race…sometimes I forget.

No, they aren’t. No one knows what you think, but you.

Do you know that just the top five races would satisfy a supermajority of the player base. That’s how niche the rest are.

Not liking a race isn’t arbitrary.

Honestly, the fact that you don’t see what’s going on here shows a remarkable lack of clarity on your part. Your position is equivalent to not wanting people to hunt deer because it’s bad for a few deer. Or continue making unprofitable products because a few people still like them. Odd how ‘liking’ something isn’t arbitrary according to you, but disliking is.

Call a failure a failure. Stop wasting resources where they don’t give any payback to the game. Focus. Save the millions of players as opposed to the few hundred thousand.

As fun and lovable as tuskar are I doubt two years after their release you’d see more than 1% of people playing them. Players don’t gravitate to short and/or fat races much.

I won’t say no to Tuskarr. I wouldn’t necessarily play one, either. But if Earthen, Dracthyr and Tuskarr were hanging off a cliff and I could only save one it would be the tuskarr.

You made the right choice.

Will do, you are a failure.

And now does taking the time write a scenario to genocide a race in a way that makes sense and is accepted by the community, removing all the work that has been done, rebalancing the factions options in regards to races, etc… “give payback to the game”

Your suggestion wastes more time and resources than developing a new race for the game.

I have a feeling the dracthyr would survive the fall anyway.
