I was just doing the quest Bloodied Skies in Remix. I’m reminded of just how much better these turret type quests used to be. The last few expansions have still included at least one of these quests but they just feel so much worse these days, with absolutely awful, inaccurate aiming. I’d always noticed if felt worse, but now going back and playing one that feels good is really shocking. What happened?

I’ve actually noticed this as well. It seems the little quest mechanics they had in mop were far superior to the programming used in expacs that came after. The only thing I can assume that the programmers they had before were better than the ones the have now.

Because the Golden Lotus is about that life.

I guess. Which feels mean to say, but at the same time, couldn’t they copy paste the code from these other quests? I dunno, I’m not a gamesmith.
Some of them feel ok but then theres that one horde does right when u start that feels awful lol
Aiming the machine gun? That is one of the best, imo.

That one quest in Badlands where you kill all the trogs. I’ve done that one probably 50 times at least.
Idk how best to describe it but the effect of blowing up allies feels very disconnected from actually pressing the button.
All I can think of now is the “get some” scene from Full Metal Jacket.
I made a remix toon the other day and did that. I do miss those kind of quests. It was fun mowing down the other faction lol.
