Now normally when i want ot turn around i just hold the right mouse button but i noticed pressing A and D my character is turning VERY slowly. im not sure how to fix that or WHY its happening

This happened to me after an update. Fortunately there is a console command called “turnspeed” that you can use to change this. I’ll have to look it up and post back but it’s in degrees per second so 200 will make it quite snappy.
Command is:
/console turnspeed 200

No worries. I do a mix of mouse and key turning so it was driving me bat crazy as well.

This happened to me as well and I use my arrow keys when turning in place and this was driving me crazy. I’ll try the command when I log on in a bit, thanks Gibet!

This has been annnoying me for a couple weeks now.
I had a friend write a little addon so it would automatically run the turnspeed 300 command since the game likes to reset it. I don’t get why they have such a slow turn speed and it happens on vehicles too.
Honestly, I really don’t think the slow turn is a normal thing.
I’ve played for years and haven’t seen this happen until the last couple of weeks which is what is making me thnk it’s some sort of glitch/bug.

Happened to me twice over about 10 years. It always happens after a patch or update so it may have set that command as part of the update most likely erroneously.

Poked at curse and there are a couple of addons that address this bug. The console command fixes it as well but if you prefer an addon just search “turnspeed”. One hard sets it at 200 each login. The other sets it each login but you can adjust the degrees per second in game with its own command.
Oh the console command does NOT need to be run at each login. It only hast to be done if something changes that value which has been pretty rare so far.

Think the game default was supposed to be 180. 200 adds a little “snap”.

This is still happening. I hope they fix this soon.
That might be a server thing, try logging out and logging in again.
People using keys to turn is yikes
If you switch toons, and then switch back, it is also fixed.
The post earlier about addons may help. There are two on curse that are current.
Kab Turn Speed - hard sets it to 200
My Turn Speed - sets at at each login but you can set the value in game.

This happens to me every time I log in for the first time of the day. Once I logout and back in it doesn’t happen again. It’s very odd.
