So they just lied and are making Heat 3 drop unique items even after saying it will only drop more gear. Also waiting this long to tell us new boss is only on heat 3 is insane. Why do they wait so long to communicate anything important its actually just laughable at this point

  • The rewards for Molten Heat are the same as Blistering Heat, with a few additional items available from later in the Raid, along with unique weapon cosmetics.

Read.

All of that sounds great. I do think the new boss on heat level 3 should drop a mount or reward a title.

I did read my friend did you?

The post says:

“Sweltering Heat, with an additional drop for most bosses”

“Blistering Heat, with a few additional items available”

Heat 2 says DROPS

Heat 3 says ITEMS

It may just be a classic badly worded blue post, but it is different!

cosmetics

They already alluded to this before. You can even look up BRE/OEB with the Molten tag on Wowhead. They’re not dropping full-on unique items, just select ones share the new enchant look.

You’re missing an entire part “Blistering Heat, with a few additional items available from later in the Raid, along with unique weapon cosmetics.” it says ALONG with cosmetics… either way its worded terribly

cool now lets get a new battle ground with new rewards.

There are some dads playing SoD that feel like they’re entitled to everything. Probably the same players that were still somehow managing to wipe in ST at the end of P3.

The damage was the same in 2005 as it was in 2019 and as it will be on the base difficulty.

We were just exponentially dumber then about how the game work and how talents and stats interacted. We had only scratched the surface.

People were killing Huhuran and Sapphiron with no resistances in 2020 when It used to be if you walked in with less than 180 you were actively griefing your raid.

Damage was actually nerfed a couple times, as well as many other factors like specs being different, no spell power on gear, itemization being different. It wasn’t about mana.

AQ and Naxx in 2020 were both prenerf. We wanted prenerf Cthun because it was theorized to be mathematically impossible in 2006.

He got obliterated. Huhuran died in 40 seconds without anyone needing resistances. Sapphiron was a speed bump. So was Patchwerk for that matter.

Resistances covered for a 20 year skill gap. We play differently now.

Resistances weren’t a skill gap issue, they were simply necessary. Again, it wasn’t about mana. It was about the abilities doing more damage than could be healed for. Video games have patches where things tend to change such as spells, gear, and talents. You’d have to be very ignorant to not understand this.

Back then, yes. Now, no. Classic era formulas are all solved. For dps, for healers and for tanks. Resistances arent necessary for BASE content now, exception MAYBE being your Ragnaros tank. Id like if they became mandatory for SoD tbh. Like raid wide mandatory.
