I don’t know which dev thought it was okay to add a constantly pinging noise to a tier set bonus where it doesn’t matter when you get each individual stack.
I got 2p on my Enh shaman today and combat is just a constant cling cling cling. That sound effect is already why some people hate Fatebound Rogue, so you decided to add it to ALL melee dps?
Did a dev even try combat with that sound effect active?
If you don’t like any particular sound in the game and you can find the Sound ID for it on like wago tools or wowhead, you can use the add-on Mute Sound File and it works real well.
And there is as it turns out an add-on that pairs with MSF that is called “Sound ID Finder”
So, this was bugging me so much, but thanks to Bazzan’s comment, found the solution.
Get the addon MuteSoundFile (it’s on CurseForge/Wowup, name is all together as it is, not separated by each word), and in game, type /msf to open addon settings. In there, at Add Sounds > Sound ID (number), you just add these numbers:
6421997 (click +Mute this sound, do the same for the other ones)
6421999
6422001
6422003
6422005
its actually helpful for blowing CDs knowing its up.
Like - most people who do content that need to know when it procs would be using a WA to track so the fact its already built in is great. 1 less WA to have.
It works differently for melee. The ranged one has a lower proc rate and always does something, melee has a much higher proc rate but only does something when it triggers multiple times in a row.
Half the time they hear the noise nothing has actually happened.
