Is there anyway to turn that thing off? This suggested direction are the worse I’ve seen and anywhere I’m near a place with a portal/dock/whatever it always has a quest circle on it with “take this to Stormwind…”
Is there a /console option or addon to remove this awful functionality?
Not that I’m aware of but you can click the button in the top right corner of the quest and it’ll toggle between the endpoint and next step.
I know where I need to go. It’s doing it for quests I’m not even tracking when I don’t have any to track. I have a bunch of quests on the backburner: Save chromie, Draenor Pet Masters, MoP’s Halfhill Farm, and others. If there’s a portal, boat dock, or something else in the zone for travel, I’ll get a quest circle on that spot for one of those quests which is really annoying.
And even for quests that I am tracking it gets messed up. I’m currently doing the Argent Tournament dailies and one of the dailies requires me to go kiss frogs in Grizzly Hills. Instead of the minimap quest arrow pointing to the location in the Grizzly Hills, it points to the portal at the Wyrmwrest Temple in Dragonblight (Take portal to stormwind…). It makes the quest arrow useless to fly by.
