Roll back the absurdly overpowered characters who farmed frogs in the early days of MoP Remix, or allow everyone else avenues to achieve such power gains. Save what little integrity this game mode has left.
Playing on a fresh level 70 character who didn’t even have the opportunity to farm frogs is the worst way to experience MoP Remix. You are much weaker than characters below level 70 due to the extreme scaling, and you are also much weaker than the froggers who are walking around invincible and killing everything as if they had turned on a Game Genie for WoW. And non-froggers will never be able to catch up with the froggers because froggers are continuing to gain more and more power at a faster rate due to their ease of clearing any content.
Power gains are excruciatingly slow at level 70 due to the fact that gear doesn’t drop at higher item levels, Bronze gains are nominal compared to the amount required to upgrade your gear, and any thread gains on your cloak prior to level 70 are nearly meaningless due to the way that the amount of secondary or tertiary stat required to achieve the same percentage as before astronomically increases at level 70. Power gains are much slower than even at max level on Dragonflight Retail, or max level when MoP first released. We are being expected to progress through 2 years’ worth of content in only 3 months, and with extreme currency grinds and daily raid lockouts that consume much of our playtime.
A simple solution would be to dramatically increase the amount of Lesser Charms of Good Fortune that you can obtain by completing daily quests. This would be beneficial for players that don’t want to do multiple full raids every day just to see some progress on their characters, and it would also serve as a sort of cap to prevent characters from farming for power endlessly in a short period of time, as the number of quests is limited.
To compete for spots in raids and actually not feel useless when I do happen to get into any multiplayer content.
WoW players and developers are always clamoring about this not being a solo game. Well, some players being multiple times more powerful and no one else being able to catch up with them does matter. It means that this mode has no integrity.
If I can’t catch up, playing MoP Remix at all feels pointless.
It’s a temporary fun mode. Just ride along for cosmetics. Who cares if you have some maxed out superhero in your raid? I don’t understand you people lol
The cosmetics require hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Bronze, and guess how you get that Bronze? By completing higher level content like Heroic raids efficiently, and non-froggers are going to be at a serious disadvantage there.
Maybe I don’t want to be carried by froggers, and I don’t want to be discriminated against either for not having frogged myself.
I just want the playing field to be somewhat fair and equal according to the time players invest in the systems. You could do multiple full raids every day for weeks and still not have gotten the power levels that frog farmers got in mere hours.
When you get to level 70 and see the huge grind laid out for you and how weak your character has become, you might finally understand.
The fact that this event is temporary puts a lot more pressure on players because we probably won’t be able to go back someday and earn anything we missed, and the biggest source of Bronze is clearly in the overtuned raids.
I’m not even 70 yet and I’ve already bought all the cosmetics I want. If you want everything (lol why?), then prepare to grind for it. You have 90 days, and Blizz no doubt intends to milk that sweet, sweet player engagement for as much of that time as possible.
Ironically, that means that I won’t be able to come back for Season 4 and I won’t be contributing to engagement there.
I thought that Dragonflight Retail should be the main activity and Panda Remix the side activity when you are done with everything else for the week, but with all the raid lockouts resetting daily and the huge amount of grind required, it looks like Remix is meant to be the main dish and Season 4 the side dish.
