"Turn Evil"

How come “Turn Evil” doesn’t make the enemy turn evil?

And make them grow goatees.

I do not know about that. Back in the day a human paladin used this on my forsaken priest and since that day I have been an evil healer…

Change alignment to “evil” so you can use protection from evil spells?

Big brain.

because turn in this case refers to the z-axis. like turning 360 degrees from an x-box360 and walking away

I actually miss when Forsaken were classified as undead in beta. Unbalanced for sure, but it was fun.

I think you get a better answer in the Lore Section of the forums but… I believe in WoW Universe… Cosmic Forces has this weird power over morality…

Example:

  • To much purple and The Void (The Emerald Nightmare, Old God Corruption) drives you to attack friends…and ally with Monsters that you probably run from or attack on sigh…

  • To much of the glowing green radiation, Fel and your a Demon who wants to burn everything…

  • To much Yellow and the Light will have you feeling ashamed or horrified of being a Undead or turn you into the most beautiful sanctimonious Undead that our eyes can see before they burn out of our skull (Looking at you Calia)… as well as make you a Crusader of Justice for the Light for whatever that stands for in the story.

  • To much Indigo and you get mana addiction… etc, etc

In other words, it makes no sense and has never really been explain why this Chromatic Cosmic Forces change or enslave our perspective… Easy narrative and world building is my best guess? Or with SL new Lore this Forces have their own version of “Domination Magic” like Jailer mentions with Death?

Anyway troll away Mortis… I felt like I had to Bite the bait… to help out!

Happy Weekend!

I don’t know, how come “Turn evil” doesn’t make me turn evil? :frowning:

I want to be evil.

From my point of view, the light are evil. :stuck_out_tongue:

While we are on this important topic, why did they remove the talent that made warlocks summon Imps riding on Dreadstalkers like mounts into battle?

And, why does banish not suck up the mob into another universe?

I needs to see that again, it is like an addiction of mine.

It’s short for “Turn away evil.”

It’s an old D&D thing. The nerd in me assumes everyone knows that. The nerd in me also realizes that nerd is a very large spectrum.

Mainly, because the English language needs a copy editor.

In this context, “Turn” means to physically alter their facing to make them run away from you, and not “Turn” as in change their nature.

That’s why I just chill with the elements. We’ve got friends in all teh colorz!

OP were you wearing a shirt when you died and became undead?

You sure its not because we Paladins are very smelly and it makes them turn away because of that smell though?

Build up enough body odor and it can break the laws of physics making entire crowds just automatically go Moses parting the red seas on you.

I mean we were trapped in a musky basement for an entire expansion before.

Does anyone else remember the Ultrasafe Transporters having a chance to turn your character into their evil twin, goatee and all, for an hour?

ISTR seeing a comic once where Arthas casts it…
