Turn era into classic+

IF they wish to experiment why not RETAIL?

I hear they have a version that is “current” that they keep adding more and more content all the time, I believe it is called RETAIL. Why would content locust even want to play ERA anyway? It is only a matter of time before you have done all the content and want more RAIDING content.

I just don’t get WHY people want to alter ERA and Classic yet NEVER advocate for changing and/or fixing RETAIL. Isn’t Retail actually focused on Raiding and ranked PvP wouldn’t that be the place to go? Is this just a case of wanting to be the big fish in the small pond?

I have suggested, multiple times, if Chromie Time actually worked properly, in “going back in time” to pre-Cata Old World, I’d be in.

HOWEVER, I like the regeants, ammo, going to trainers for training, non-account wide, etc., that Classic has that Retail does not.

And, also, Ranged Survival Hunters.

Because I would like to try experiments as well, and I do not play Retail.
I think the Seasonal servers a great idea, test out some foolish and not so foolish things no strings attatched. And if we do not like it, we can just pop back to Era; as I did when the rush and too easy levelling of SoM became too much.

That – and just a bit more  – is why I never touch Retail.

The easiest way to do that is by Nerfing warriors down to Hunter level of DPS; the answer was never “Buff the meme specs” when that’s basically everything that’s not fury. Fury is literally 2X better than Mage / Rogue, and 4X better than the rest of the classes. Nerfing Fury so that they’re hunter level of damage is the right choice.

This makes literally everything else “effective” and balances the game out really nice without messing up the game play for everyone.

It’s a combination of things that make Classic…Classic, for me.

  • Original Old World (before Cata destroyed it)
  • Ammo required to shoot guns or bows
  • Reagents required for Mage Teleports, Mage Portals, Druid BRs, etc.
  • First Slow Rider Mounts at 40 (for roughly 100g). Followed by the Second Faster Riding Mounts at 60 (for roughly 1,000g)
  • Class Quests (even to get certain abilities like Bear Form for Druids, Totems for Shamans, etc.)
  • Actually training at your Class Trainer instead of just getting a new ability, upon a new level.
  • Ranged Survival Hunters (and actually feeding your pets to keep their happiness up)
  • Combat (and not Outlaw) Rogues
  • Not every Quest you pick up in one location is for that location. You may have to go to a different location, like the Feathers quest in Ruth’eran Village (wanting you to collect Hinterlands AND Winterspring Feathers).
  • Elite Quest Sections like the Elite Ogres in Loch Modan, Elite Dwarfs in Wetlands, Elite Trolls in Hinterlands, etc.
  • Actually needing a Fishing Pole to fish, Skinning Knife to skin. In turn, needing the materials on hand, in order to craft (instead of it just sitting in your bank).
  • Your profession skill gatekeeping you from mining something you can’t mine, yet. Unlike, Retail, where you can mine it, but you get a “lesser version of it”.
  • No Level Scaling
  • No Account-Wide

You know, just little things, like that.

Though, I am open to some (not all) changes like the following:

  • Guild Banks
  • Barbershop
  • Black Lotus having a chance to be picked from high end herbs, like Wrath does with Frost Lotus.

But, that’s just me.

I just agree 100 % I could have written that list.
Add only Professions really doing something for you. Sometime that food buff did that you survived!

No, thanks. Enjoying the game as is, don’t want it ruined and that is highly likely what will happen. Go play another version or ask for a season. That said, keep the seasonal items in the season and away from Era. Era is not a dumping ground for bad ideas.

imo bringing everything up to fury lvls is the right move nerfs always ruin things fury feels amazing right now and buffing other things would hurt anything because bringing 30 warriors is already the meta

Nerfing Fury down to mid tier while preserving the play style is actually a better move because it makes other classes way more valuable and further it makes more gear open for other classes. Not even OG vanilla hunter loot gobblin like “Classic” warriors…

Nerfing fury down to mid pack is the only good move because it makes stacking warriors a bad move.

really depends on the rest of the content in classic + really id perfer some challenging content, so id perfer buffing other classes up to fury or beyond in terms of dps, by adding in new pieces of gear

Challenging content didn’t go over well in seasonal. It won’t go over well in Era either. Leave Era alone and make your expanded server elsewhere please.

That is not how you make content harder… Buffing the other classes makes content easier and also breaks PvP.

Nerfing Warriors is the only logical path.

TBC buffed all the other classes up to “almost” fury warrior DPS as a ratio, and what was the PvP fix? Resilience and massive health pools because every class now did too much damage.

yeah seasonal items would have to get deleted i think they should do no changes seasons in the future because there is already far too many changes
