Make friends.

Didn’t you say ā€œme and my friendsā€ bought that thing? See if they have the required oven / grill.

Actually I have no idea how to cook an turkey, I’m Australian. I can cook kangaroo though, and it’s lovely.

They are visiting from out of town so we only have access to my place off campus

I roast one in a roaster oven from Walmart while baking a ham in my oven,my daughter roasts a turkey in her oven to look pretty, mine gets carved ahead of time and I make the gravy ahead too. Both turkeys are 24 lbs.Teenage grandsons require lots of food, and the one in college will take lots of leftovers. Also, stuffed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, potato salad, corn on the cob, salad, chips and dip, chili cheese dip and Fritos, cheese, beef stick, crackers, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, brownies, cheesecake, pineapple upside down cake, muffins, cornbread, deviled eggs, and barbecue meat balls.I’m sure I forgot some things.

No reason to have a dry Turkey from the oven if it’s prepared and cooked properly. My grandmother has never given us a dry turkey in over 40 years! (Not to mention the delicious in-turkey stuffing!)

Go to Dennys. They have their Thanksgiving dinner… though to be honest I’ve never seen a microwave that would fit a 25 pound turkey. Do you have a pic of your microwave? Did you get it at Ogremart?

:cookie: and PIE! for all!

Since people keep bringing this up, what would you consider a dry turkey? I consider it dry when I can’t make it as juicy as I can cook chicken. It takes too long to cook a turkey in the oven, even with all the tricks people have provided, it wouldn’t give me anything close to deep frying a turkey.

I don’t have access to a deep dryer or an oven so neither of those are helpful.

You may just want to go out and buy a turkey that has been already cooked  .

Put it in the microwave for ten characters

10 minutes you mean? That can’t be enough time

Ten. Characters.

Is the turkey alive?

It will cook faster with a beer can inside it.

I would just do it like these guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vhm4m1EQU94

Usually used for chicken or duck, but I’d bet it would work for turkey as well!

Don’t listen to them op, they have it all wrong, you’re supposed to kiss the turkey until it’s well cooked and crispy outside, it gets more tender and juicy if you also use the tongue in the process.
