Turbulent Timeways Kinda Sucks

I just wanted to share my experience with blizzard, though I don’t think they have time to read it.

After seeing the wowhead post about the event, I planned to farm some XP potions on my level 70 and give them to my level 25. After completing a somewhat boring dungeon, my 70 was awarded with a 5% xp bonus and no potion. Feeling hosed, I logged off for the night.

Next day, new strat. I would grind from level 25 to 35 and bring the alt into the turbulent timeways! This new plan couldn’t possibly fail! After finally reaching 35 with no XP bonus, I try to queue. I cannot. I realize I must return to orgrimmar and turn chromie time off just to queue, so I do that. While waiting in queue, I decide to return to questing in silverpine. I discover silverpine questing no longer gives XP without Chromie Time, so I guess I just wait out dungeon queues in orgrimmar. Once inside a dungeon, I discover I’m scaled to the same ilvl as everyone else, but I only have 1/2 of the abilities of a max level player. As such, the healer is out-dpsing me. I am a burden, it’s embarassing and boring. Once again feeling hosed, I log off for the night.

So that’s my turbulent timeway experience. Thanks Blizzard, I guess.

The 2nd day of the event is today.
The xp bonus is a buff, not a potion look there.
Players use time walking dungeons to level. You’re not the only one doing so. Lower dps is expected and people rarely care because players use them to level.
Chromie time restrictioning players from accessing time walking is stupid.

Yeah, I was not happy about this either. Blizz has given zero information on this buff and never once corrected Wowhead or told us how it works.

I got two new 70s. I’m happy. Though they started 60+.

For all the raving about it, it is almost impressive how many problems Chromie Time has caused.

Don’t low level players get scaled to ridiculously high levels in TW? Usually it’s the level 15 doing 3 times the damage of a level 70.

They’ll give us information on the final week of this event.

LOL I wouldn’t be surprised

Quick question if anyone knows: Does the mastery of timeways buff count down while you’re logged off?

I could’ve sworn I had over two hours left on the full buff last night, but this morning it appears to have reset. Maybe I’m just misremembering though how much time I had left.

It is beyond dumb that you have to turn Chromie Time off to partake in TW Dungeons. I remember like a month or two back, I wanted to level my Worgen Warrior through TW when he was lvl 50, but the option to queue for TW dungeons was not there. I thought it was because he was lvl 50 and not 60, that it was changed to be lvl 60+ content. I had no idea it was because I dared to choose which expansion to level through.

About the buff counting down: I had 3 hours to go when I logged off last night, and still 3 hours when I logged back in this morning. It does not count logged off time. Otherwise you’d have to redo the buff completely again.

Give me five minutes and I’ll log in to see what mine is at.

Edit: sorry that took a bit longer. Nope, it doesn’t count down when you’re offline.

So a max level toon gets a xp buff too when completing a TW dungeon?

They couldnt make it a rep buff since they dropped the xp potion idea?
