Tuning hotfixes coming today - October 22

I just want to know who approved a 22% nerf last minute when they’ve been working on this for weeks lol

Classic character hahah

They still had to hotfix the first patch since its release. They ain’t ready.

We are insane right now. Raid and mythic+

it’s not even the gear. It’s the ring enchants. The 6 gems. The recrafts. That is EXPENSIVE.

They just want a bunch of people to swap classes and get X more token sales when those people spend all their gold on crafting for their new fotm mains halfway through the season. Then do it all over again next season

Reddit freaking out is amongst the reason this happened.

Done with this game. Tired of these so called devs messing with balance.

I’m not the best player but I’m consistently pulling over 1m single target in raids, so I’d say they’re good there too.

Assassin rogues had evasion up for this tuning patch it seems.

They are the strongest in raid too. Sheesh.

They have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. Every time they put out a patch notes saying “these changes will increase warrior single target damage” someone just runs a sim and checks that it actually decreases ST damage. They put out something like “this will increase healing in raid” and someone do math and check it decreases healing in raid. Im starting to believe its actually AI or chimpanzees who codes the game.

Nice, I was looking forward to spellslinger being viable, good work running changes all the way through PTR for months than bailing on it in a hot fix the day of. Makes a ton of sense. I mean outcry from people before it even goes live should be leading your development team efforts, not your own internal checks and PTR.

Hold on… What are the chances that two night and day specs of the same class needed the incredibly arbitrary sounding “22%” nerf?

Wait I get it, I can see how this happened.

Ion: “Dude, you’re buffing Frost DKS?”
Overworked Dev: “Uh what? Wait? No…?”
Ion: “DUUUUUDE, look at the hero talents.”
Overworked Dev: “Oh uh wait… the Deathbringer changes would buff Frost?”
Ion: “YES, who do you think plays these Hero Talents? Final Fantasy 14 Astrologians?”
Dev: “Ok ok, so like - nerf Frost?”
Ion: “WHO DO YOU THINK PLAYS THESE HERO TALENTS?!”
Dev: “OK OK Blood too yessir… um… were blood DKs over-?”
Ion: “TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.”
Dev: “OK we’ll nerf them too, it’s the only way to be sure. Hold on let me math…”
ION: “NOW!!!”
dev glances at his calendar. October 22nd.
Dev: “22% nerf.”
Ion: “ON WHAT?!”
DEV: “Uhhhh… EVERYTHING?! SWEET GOD EVERYTHING?!”
Ion: “… not bad, rookie. But just pick your 3 favorite Deathbringer things and call it a day.”
Dev: “For … both?”
Ion: “Are you still here?”
Dev: “Uh, this is my office?”
Ion: glowers
Dev: “Got it, I’m leaving. Right away sir!”
