Was anyone able to Tame Tsulong in TOES? I was able to on PTR but not on live, was it a PTR bug? or a live one?

Petopia says Upcoming pet and the only heavenly that’s not is the one from the “Surprise Attack” quest which i had already completed so maybe we have to wait till we lvl to 60
I tamed Elegon no problem. (Then the encounter wouldn’t reset, I was hoping to tame 2) Tsulong also gives me the “untamable” popup. (As does Corborus from The Stonecore dungeon, even though it is supposidly now tamable). Not sure what I am doling wrong (if anything)
I tamed Tsulong with no problem in beta. Now in live I cant. I thought I was the only one with the same issue. I thought Cloud Serpents would be live come prepatch.

I can’t seem to tame cloud serpents at all. I have the tome.
You can tame the Azure Serpent in the Shado Pan Monastery. Same model as Tsulong and Hei Feng. Just got mine on normal.
Weird I wasn’t able to tame him, I’d love to since you can’t rename tsulong and I’d rather not have 2 tsulongs following me lol.

That is weird. I had no issue taming him. But, it also still shows you as 120. So, a bug maybe?
I have tamed Tsulong without issue on Draenor, this character has the faction and bought the book himself. Does the character you are taming with have the exalted faction? or did you buy the book and send it to a character that doesn’t have the faction? That could be bug.
Try doing it in Normal difficulty. worked for me and also it seem like some pet, like the Fel Steed from Shadow Fang Keep, gave me an error message when I tried in Heroic difficulty but work fine when I did it on normal despite the beast lore saying it was tameable in my heroic run.

i went in to terrace on 25 heroic, unable to tame tsulong. i’ve seen your replies saying doing it on normal worked, but i can’t change to normal because im locked to heroic each time i try to change it and go back in. giving up on tsulong until next week. went in to shadowpan monastary on normal, and was able to tame azure cloud serpent. looks pretty much the same as tsulong. this is also me having bought and learned the cloud serpent training book on an alliance druid different server than my horde hunter. hopefully this helps someone.
Tamed him with no issues about an hour ago on 10 man.

Yep, taming elegon breaks the raid, even coming back later it was still broken, looks like it will need 2 weeks to get 2
Just go to Shadow Pan Dungeon on normal, punch the boss tame his “Tsulong” Lookalike and then dismiss pet feign death and when boss comes back repeat and you have 2 of them… simple work around without any problems… just don’t punch boss with bow on and you will be golden… Good Luck all and now to do my horde rep, Oh well, I am happy now, even if I don’t have the mount and will wait to do the heavenly blue when 60 in the Halls… Elegon tame was easy, he will blow you back but instantly hit tame again and he is yours, I kept thinking the floor would disappear ha ha…

Make sure no one is inside for at least 30 minutes. Mine eventually reset the encounter and I’ve tamed Elegon twice today.

Nope. People can run LFR and snag another.
But…yeah, Tsulong was a bust for me this week, but I’ve heard that normal (not heroic or LFR) works. I tried heroic and LFR and couldn’t tame him. I also tried to tame the Azure Serpent in the Shado Pan Monastery on heroic and it was a no go. Switched to normal a bit later and was able to tame it then. Seems like cloud serpents are a buggy mess at the moment.
Just go to Shadow Pan Monestry and go to first boss, take off bow punch the guy and he will call a Tsulong LOOKALIKE and you can tame him and then feign and repeat for your second Tsulong LOOKALIKE so you will have dual Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpents within 10 min… so much easier do it on normal and have room for 2 pets. My fresh 110 tamed them no cloud serpent rep but I had bought book

Honestly, as cool as they look, Elegon is the only one even remotely useful, since he’s at least a spirit beast, meaning Tenacity and Spirit Mend (even if the new cleanse is useless). The rest of them are under the serpents family, which is Cunning + dodge cooldown, basically only useful for showing off in town.
