Hey guys.
Back in TSM3 I use to, before start crafting, do a complete scan to update all prices of itens that I’d sell.
Now on TSM4 I still did’t find that option. So I’m basically stuck at the reset price table that desktop app give me (usually 1~2 hours of age).
Anyone knows how to do that kind of search?
Prices should not have changed all that much in the 1-2 hours since the desktop app last downloaded prices. If they have changed enough for crafting to no longer be profitable, odds are the market is too violatile for you to make gold with under your current profit margins.
Personally, I trust the most recent scans when going to craft something. The add-on will then re-scan each item before posting it.
I think I know enough to say that I’m doing it right on gold making and the server I’m is very high populated and have a health economy.
I don’t blindly trust on TSM cos it may eventually lead me to lose gold. Like yesterday, to restock all my pots I had to buy 500 riverbud. TSM was saying it was 7g (2h ago) each when it was 12g. I didn’t buy those herb cos I was about to ruin my profit. Normally when I buy my stuff to restock it’s obvious that itens’ prices for others players will go up so that’s what happened there.
If I could scan before check what to restock it would not even show me so many pots/flasks to make. That’s my point, wonder if there’s a way to manually refresh current buyout prices ingame, like it was possible on TSM 3.
That’s a good point on buying out the herb prices. Though you could have someone post 1 herb at 7g right as you scan the AH, while the true average price is 12g. In the past, I normally had an idea of what dreamleaf cost for glyphs week to week, and would then buy out extra when the price was low.
EDIT: This might be a better question for the woweconomy Reddit or similar resource.
