Why are addons like this allowed? They essentially require every single player to have them in order to be competitive. The first time I played with somebody using gladius I asked wtf is this because it shows you everyone you are playing with so you can literally respec talents by who you are fighting. If somebody does not have gladius they are screwed. TSM does the same for anybody trying to use the auction house without it. I am not against addons for things like damage meters, bartenders, bags etc… Those things improve quality and visuals for the individual players. TSM and gladius and all other addons like these absolutely impact the game of many other players though.
Hot take with that title
You can have all the fancy PvP addons on the planet, but they won’t make you a good player.
And every player can get them. Nothing to see here.
Well they definitely are …
…with the actual state of the game .
Because they don’t do anything wrong or exploitable, despite what some people who cry about it say.
I dont have gladius… or tsm.
Id venture im no slouch either
impeccable timing since the new UI failures broke party frames in arena for at least a couple days and everyone HAD to use Gladius to play Blizzard’s broken game So I mean, you’re not wrong I guess lol it is required.
Lol i mean if i instantly climb 200-300 points with gladius because i can respec and prepare for who im going into then yeah it will make me a better player even if im not the best.
Not true, I was originally a 1500 player but I downloaded Gladius and got to 1510.
What did you do with it? I respecced my talents and pvp talents almost every match to counter different match ups and climbed almost 300 points.
I’m horrible at PvP! ‘Twas a joke.
The only appropriate argument to my thread is they are tools to be used and i would be foolish not to use the tools infront of me. As in why pound nail with rock when Smart man provide hammer OOGA BOOGA.
The main reason people complain about TSM is that they think it’s the reason they quickly get undercut and can’t sell anything, but TSM allows you to post a lot of stuff without having to stop and research the price history of every item.
If it were less practical for me to post as many items as I do every day, I’d camp the AH more, not less, because I’d stick to selling a smaller set of items, and they would almost all be the same current expansion items that people who complain about TSM are trying to sell, instead of hundreds of niche items that in many cases aren’t even really being crafted or posted by other players (e.g., Mage Tower gear).
I never reposted more aggressively than I did in Cataclysm, when I did not really know how to use any AH addons effectively and mostly only sold gems and herbs
You can use the auction house perfectly fine without it.
Lmao TSM is not even close to required since the new reworked AH went live. And gladius just shows some info you still have to look at it, interperet it, and make decisions from it. Cooked take OP.
…you can see who you’re fighting with the default frames.
Automating the process like that is absolutely bannable you should be looked into.
