I hate the idea of having to download loads of addons past mandatory one’s like DBM and such. Why is TSM almost basically required to deal with the auction house effectively if you want to sell lots of items? will there ever be a future update that makes the base auction house better? more efficient so I don’t have to download some random software off a site that isn’t blizzards?
I think for just bulk listing items that Auctioneer? (I think?) is better.
What I like about TSM is the overlay of items in game to give me a “street value” for them (so when I stumble across a piece of “Rotting Fish Gut” that vendors 70s, but AHs for 50g, I can make the “right decision” there).
I also like its material lists, I select stuff to craft, and it build up the required materials.
But for just auctioning stuff, TSM is overkill and I think Auctioneer is better.

i like auctionator. i tried TSM a couple times over the years and was never happy with it.

I just have a personal preference of not downloading stuff off of random sites, which TSM forces you to do to use it. Yet they offer the app on curseforge but not the app helper/required part of the app. So you download TSM from curseforge which is a little more known and it wont work because you still need to go to their tsm site and download the other thing which is just… yeah I don’t like it but it’s basically forced on people if you want to deal with bulk item sells which is very bad…
TSM is bloated garbage.
I actually prefer it too, but you cant do bulk listings on it compared to tsm so if you have hundreds if not thousands of items you are basically there foreverrrrrrrrr and someone with tsm who is willing to download stuff off their site just spam posts and its worth that time. That’s what I hate about it, and what bothers me the most… and I wish either another addon or blizzard themselves improved the auction house to compete with that cause it sucks being forced to download stuff off of random sites… I don’t know them, I don’t know what they put in their software… I wouldn’t ever download it… but if I don’t I am at a MASSIVE disadvantage.
I have TSM, but only use it to track profit/loss/revenue of items. Honestly prefer Auctionator for the actual AH stuff.

TSM is not required at all. It’s better for listing my 200 auctions every 2 days though.
My major gripe with TSM is how botlike it is. Makes it way too easy to sit next to a mailbox and spin your scrollwheel to relist thousands of completely different items all day long.
It’s the addon that got the AH throttled for everyone. Should have been banned years ago.

That sounds like such a miserable way to play the game lol.
I’ve never used TSM and I make tons of gold on the AH I used to use a AH addon way back in the day but I got used to not bothering.
What, the scroll wheel spin relist minigame that tsm bots engage in? It definitely seems antifun to me, but it’s very effective at making gold.

I’m usually bringing in between 100k -700k in sales every day using Auctionator just fine.

Eh I like to keep hundreds of random grey and green items on the AH for mogs until someone wants them.
I like to think of it as a public service. They certainly don’t make me much money lol

I’ve found work orders to be far more lucrative this expansion than trying to play the ah pvp minigame. I’m hoping it’s the same in TWW. The only addon I have to bother with is No Mats; No Make. I do wish it had a ledger feature like TSM though.
I have a visceral hatred for trade chat spam meta that became. I might give it a try again, this time around, but the highest point was making those very strong BOE blues in early shadow lands(I gold capped on those) with non obvious cross profession synergy.
That or the scrapper in BFA. I made so much money with that awful mechanic.
