Trying to reduce loading screen time

I have a 100gb c drive with windows and 1 tb d drive. I just formatted d drive and reset my windows to factory settings. Before reinstalling wow to d drive because it wont fit on c, i read if wow is on a different drive than windows i can experience loading screen lag. Would it make the game faster to clone windows to d drive or would that cause more of a slow down?

My games are on My second 2TB NVME never had a issue. In reality it should be faster. The game and the OS are not trying to access the same drive at the same time

Hey Lakot,

The important part is that you need to have WoW installed on an SSD for good loading screen times. If your 1TB D: drive is a traditional spinning harddrive (HDD) and WoW is installed there, then you will experience long load screens. That is expected due to changes over time in the WoW data structure.

Having WoW installed on a different drive than Windows should be fine in most cases.
