Trying to honor gear fresh 70s is way too frustrating

If your main objective is to pvp when you hit max level, common sense tells you that the easiest way to not be a hindrance to your team at 70 is to farm 11-12k honor before hitting max level so you are immediately honor geared off the bat. You realistically only need to get to 66-67 and then bg until you hit that honor threshold and then get to 70. It’s not that hard.

Imagine complaining about being a hindrance to your team but then not doing the easiest thing to make sure you’re not. Gearing for pvp in DF is leaps and bounds easier than it ever was in SLs yet here we are complaining about it.

some people would rather level slower doing things they enjoy like bgs. i fall asleep at my computer gathering wolf vajayjays questing.

if you like pvp so much at 70 why not prepare for it by farming honor before you become a liability for your team?

its honestly just not that bad, I didn’t queue but like 4-5 bgs from 61-69, because I wanted to be earning conquest at the same time I’m grinding honor, sent some of my boa honor things over bought trinkets plus another piece or 3, bought the rest of the crafted pieces, finished gearing in a few more games, especially with primal chaos being transferrable now
I would say I was 412 within 4-5 hours of hitting 70, and didn’t really feel like I was holding my team back ever, even as a healer, there were of course some not so good matches, but in those cases I don’t think the difference in crafted and honor gear would have really helped anything, and I’m still learning on top of all that

This is WoD style gearing lol. So was SL except they fubared pvp with the rating gate to upgrade gear. They don’t have that problem in DF.

So you dont want to buy pre pvp gear to get honor gear but get mad when when you get rolled by someone in full pvp gear? You are choosing to to be bad at this point.

jsut asking for some min ilvl scaling as they have added in shuffle when it was first introduced

literally nothing else. you have legit 3rd grade reading comprehension. doesnt matter if theres AH gear to buy, people aren’t buying it and I get stuck with a 170k hp person my team.

random bgs honor reward is too heavily based on winning, so it’s annoying to join a BG and have 2-3 170k hp people that die in 1 hit.

You are a druid that can just sit stealthed behind the zerg in an epic bg and collect your free honor gear with no worries.

even if you aren’t a stealthie, it’s not that bad. You know you are undergeared, stop playing like you weren’t. Be in turrets, vehicles, etc… With my dk, instead of running in Jenkins style, I would stay near the healers and peel for them. It’s really not that hard to contribute in epics regardless of your class/spec.

Gearing at 70 is so painless that you won’t even remember ever being undergeared.

I think this is the correct answer. You don’t need a full honor set, and in addition to conquest you have the tier reagent to grind after 70. I might do that on my next character but I was happy for my time 61-69 as I was forced to sharpen my play. I’ve honor geared 2 healers though the one is a bit shy of honor and level (11k honor and level 66).

If a scrub like me can gear 2 healers just solo queuing after being gone for 2 years I think the bar isn’t set too high.

Lol what? I don’t ever “sit stealth” in any pvp unless I’m guarding a base. Someone got clapped by a Druid and is having PTSD.

OP isn’t doing it right. Not his fault; there’s no real obvious guide in your face, but it’s pretty easy to figure out. I’d suggest starting to queue bg’s at level 66 or so, just so you can replace old expansion gear.

It’ll feel like crap for a while until you manage to win a few games. The more you end up winning, the more boxes you’ll get. They have gear pieces that will be upgrades most of the time, and will continue to scale to around 320 give or take. At level 68-69, you’ll feel pretty OK doing bg’s until 70. 10k honor will be good enough to get you what you need at lvl 70.

It’s pretty…OK. I wouldn’t say it’s great, but not terrible.

Hello, I just dinged level 70 tonight, you will notice I am in a full set of pvp honor blues as well. I bought them the second I dinged 70. The trick was once I dinged 68, I just spammed battlegrounds until I was 70. That’s all you have to do.

I enjoy leveling through BGs.

There’s a difference in being 70 and having your full tool set and being 30 and having to make do, you learn how to use your other spells so it makes you a better player at 70 vs just reading guides and doing what they say.

8 trophies of strife per week, great vault every week

Its perfectly reasonable to be caught up in 2 weeks. You’re not losing because of being 418~ ilvl instead of 422

Don’t spend conquest on weapon- buy the honor weapon then wait two resets to upgrade to 421 drakebreaker weapon
Spend that 1800 conquest saved on 875 main pieces and convert to tier
Cap 3 vaults and get upgrades

It’s significantly easier to get geared up on alts and be competitive in df than it was in SL prior to conquest boxes

If you start doing random battlegrounds from 67-70 you will have enough honor for a full set of honor gear.

It may take a day but just spam queue YOLO rated BGS. I did this on my alt. and caught up in one day. Just go to the tool that lets you apply for YOLO groups.
