Trying to break into the esports industry (not as a gamer). Not sure where I fit

My experience is mainly in management (private security industry) and more recently as a Global Security Analyst. The majority of my day is spent drafting emails and documents regarding travel safety, executive protection, persons of interest, and events happening around corporate sites and traveler’s hotels. I can write just about anything and as a hobby I write fiction.

Any ideas what I could do in the esports industry and how to begin my journey towards that goal? Going back to college would be a long process as I actually need to work full time to survive…

My suggestion, don’t. Esports personnel are getting canned left and right lately, they’re one of the first to go along with customer service.

If you really want to try to get into SOMETHING maybe try getting in at an arena, it won’t always be esports but it’ll be less likely to get fired the next time investors look sideways at future profits.
