Rogue main here, with that said, im not upset about the changes, in fact they are warranted, in addition to that, I think Warriors/Boomkins/Retribution need to be tuned down just a little bit, here are my recommendations:
Warriors: nerf intervene to only block 1 attack rather than be a 6s physical immunity on a 30s cd
Boomkins: 30% damage reduction of “convoke the spirits” in pvp situations (can be tuned more if its still too much"
Retribution Paladin: Reduce kyrian judgement damage by 15-30%.
I can’t think of anything else at the moment, like i said i was trying to be objective here, lets try to think up more tuning changes from an objective standpoint, thanks guys!
I agree, intervene should be 2s max, ideally 1 global but i dont think blizzard will do that. I’d like to see defensive stance not nerf dmg done either, but rage gen. It was like this up until legion when they removed stances and dk presences. I think it went a lot further towards reducing warrior effectiveness if they just camped d stance.
I think convoke should be tuned a little bit, but there’s some counterplay, but its honestly not hard to set up whatsoever and as long as you get lucky rng (seems to be the case most of the time), you can one shot someone in a 4s channel.
Also nerf:
WW damage overall - it is too damn high, unhealable
Fire mage damage burst too damn high, just watch mitch bursting ppl in 1 gcd
Elemental stormkeeper 1 gcd to kill aswell
Enhancement Burst - wtf 12k aoe + healing insta cast? + their wf totem with legendary
Resto Shaman tankiness
Shadow Priest - Spread Damage too high + too much survivability
I’d rather they buff other classes than continue to nerf every class into oblivion.
Boomkins already lost 10% crit from their legendary as well as a bunch of Starfall damage (although less relevant in PvP).
This tbh, Mistweaver is one i can think of that needs buffs badly
So many classes are strong it’s just easier and makes more sense to buff weak specs
I think most rets would be happy to take a nerf to their dmg/heals if they were given their mobility back. Right now they’re stuck in a spot as either overtuned or an absolute dumpster spec in arena. That being said, usually when I die to one, I can put the blame on myself or my teammate
WW, ele (I’m totally fine with enh, let them be solid for once), fire mage, and sp should be looked at.

As someone really demoralized by MW’s current state I think a simple fix would be letting us Fort Brew/Cocoon while stunned. Feels like we die in any stun thrown on us, and it sucks having to trinket cheap shot just to live, just to be full blinded while the rogue kills your partner lol. Which I know every class struggled with rogues, but MW’s biggest weakness is how easily killed they are in a stun (and mana but I’m not here to complain about that as I think us going OoM quickly is good for PvP) so when damage is as high as it is, then any time we get stunned without trinket we just die
And yet, all those problem classes were untouched but DH was nerfed…

Agree, rogue nerfs were warranted but they may have gone too heavy handed with this one. The kit is still amazing in PvP but we’ll have to see if the spec got turned into a CC bot this week and they all swap to Assassination.
As for my personal ticket items:
- Convoke the Spirits damage nerf in PvP combat & Intervene nerf as stated above. I personally think D-Stance is fine, I find myself swapping in and out of it quite regularly.
- Bring hybrid healing down, just a little. Ret and Shamans in particular but not so much that its irrelevant. I firmly believe that being able to help heal your team and provide utility should absolutely be part of every hybrid dps’s kit and is what should separate the good players from the mediocre.
- Nerf The Hunt & Chain Harvest damage (Demon Hunter and Shaman covenant abilities) while in PvP, bring damage from main spec abilities up to compensate.
- Tone down Mind Games damage down a little. The effect already has counter-play with dispel or simply stopping dps while affected by the debuff but having to worry about it also hitting for half your health is an issue for such a powerful effect.
- Reduce Thoughtsteal (Priest PvP talent) debuff duration. That talent alone counters Warlock and Mages and there’s very limited counterplay.
- Warrior bias: Shift our damage profile a bit away from the swifty macro > bladestorm model into stronger consistent damage when we’re able to stay on target. I feel like a Mortal Strike / peel bot outside of CDs/Bladestorm in arena right now.
-Last but not least, tune damage SLOWLY. It’s a lot of work, I know but everyone (players and devs alike) need to be patient. The pace of the game is going to change weekly as gear levels start rising. The last thing we need is 20m games again in every bracket.
Bro… as someone who plays enhance… If you take our burst you completely invalidate our class.
Nerf healing on top of all this stuff. Once the spells one shotting ppl are fixed, people are gonna realize how stupidly overtuned healing/hybrid healing is.
i mean all they need to do is nerf hybrid healing boomkin and spriest damage/tankiness and up sustained damage and slightly lower burst and we are all set. once everyone is geared everything slows down quite a bit. on beta besides the 1 shotters it was quite a bit slower not bfa slow but if they keep nerfing classes without buffing sustained damage we will be back to bfa damp meta

But yeah, leave enh shaman burst alone. That’s like, all they got guys.
its the only reason i’ve got to 1700 in 2s is burst and playing with a prot pally that can provide utility i do not have (freedom, BoP, etc). Our wall and mobility is meh, but our healing is decent for sure. The only drawback is i have people who pop defensives so i cant hit them in their opener so i cant build my heals… i have to be able to attack to get my heals.

Fast meta is good meta. Echoing reprimand is just dumb and has been dumb since it was proposed.
My only issue with bringing down these healing numbers, is that this is the survivability for these specs. Outside of their heals, their defensives are nothing impressive at all. Hybrid dps specs hardly bring anymore utility than a regular pure DPS anymore (honestly probably less in a few cases).
agreed completely. DPS Shamans in particular, if we cant heal like we do, there is little reason to bring us to any level of competitive arena. Because our burst can be easily invalidated. Just my two cents.
